Let's start off by saying Michael C. Hall is incredible and his career is going to shine for many many years to come. For being someone who doesn't watch a lot of tv shows, I find myself immersed in this particular show. I absolutely love this show. I was walking around Best Buy, and I hadn't even heard about this show, i just looked at the cover, and it appealed to me, it looked interesting. So for 16.99 i couldn't resist. I just bought it last week and I've already got through the first season. The other day i rushed out and bought the other two seasons, and i know i'll love them because the show is incredible! Go BUY IT NOW!

I would recommend this series on many levels. I find it very interesting it keeps me wanted more even though some of the characters are a bit on the annoying side but the main character I absolutely love and this allows me to keep watching over and over. It is very interesting how I can take the side of the serial killer over right versus wrong. The writers know how to add all aspects of humer, suspence, mystery and so much more. I also enjoy how the main character Dexter fights between "right and wrong" within himself in regards to his own killings. It's a must see.

After all, it's main character has quite a unique passion, and it's not at all socially acceptable. Truthfully I was sure that I was going to hate the Series, it's not too hard to read about serial killers in a novel. After all it's only a novel, not real. But when it gets put into the visual medium it can start to get iffy. All that said, I loved the show. They put up a tightrope to walk across, and instead of walking, they shot across it on a motorcycle. They managed to make me like Dexter in spite of his non-standard profession.

This show flat out rocks. I had never seen an episode, of this show till I bought the first season on dvd. Needless too say I watched the whole series in 2 sets of 6 hr blocks. I loved it, and you will. Dexter is a likeable character and it is great too even watch his basic interactions with people. The Horrorman says " If you like good stuff, you will like Dexter. Dexter is good stuff!!!"

My husband and I bought it only because it was on sale & we had heard good things from a friend, so we thought, why not? AMAZING! We were both hooked after the very first episode. My husband is a total critic when it comes to television shows & points out little things about shows as to why he doesn't like them, but not this one. We were both intrigued by the whole concept of the serial killer's side which is never portrayed. Have recommended to all of our friends.

By far the best show on television. There is no other show like it. The humor mixed in with the excitement keeps you on a complete roller coaster all the way through. The sister can be slightly annoying, but it's so brief it won't bother you. My girlfriend was not at all interested in watching the show and by the end she was pleading with me to watch another episode. Season 2 was also great. Totally different feel, but actually might top the 1st season.

I CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF DEXTER . I WOULD SAY TO U ALL ITS A GREAT BUY . I LOVE DEXTER ALSO HE IS A TOTALLY A CRIME FIGHTER. I JUST BROUGHT ALL 3 SEASONS OF DEXTER. I STILL WANT MORE DEXTER SEASONS. I'LL TELL EVERBODY TO BUY THIS SHOW YOU WILL LOVE IT AND U WILL WANT MORE DEXTER SEASONS JUST LIKE ME. I ALSO LOVE HOW DEXTER KILLED THE ICE TRACK KILLER SO HE WON;T HURT ANYONE EVER AGAIN.

the current price is 18.99 for a Season of this Extraordinary show. Has the best acting, best writing, best plot and never will let you down in terms of excitement. I bought this DVD when it first came out for 34.99 and i feel i paid to little for the amount of times i watched this great DVD series. 18.99 is a steal, buy it now or you will regret it later when it goes back up in price

So Ive heard great things about this show and decided to take a chance and buy the 1st season............. absolutely amazing!! I think its great, a serial killer who kills the bad people, what a great idea, Im halfway through the 1st season and ive gotten my wife hooked, and shes a pretty tough critic on shows. As soon as i get done with season 1, i will be buying season 2 and then 3.

I was hooked on this series from the very first episode. It has the most unique intro footage I've seen in awhile. I was surprised by how they managed to pull off the main character the way they did. This series puts you in the position of cheering on a serial killer not because of what they do, but to whom the do it to, and why. I can't wait until season 2 come out on DVD.

Got the first season as a gift, and never seen it only heard about it. I was totally surprised and impressed with the show. It's an enjoyable show for any crime show fan, and still is even if your not. Let's just say I can't wait until season 2 comes out on dvd, I would buy it right away.

This is a great tv shows!!! pretty original i think, "a serial killer that kills bad guys!" heck now thats a great idea!!! the actor that plays dexter is just funny!!! He makes faces and he really portrays the awkwardness of trying to show that you feel something when you really dont!!! all in all its a great show, and what a whopper of an ending!!!!!!

What can be said about "Dexter" but WOW! It's a novel premise: the bad guy is actually the good guy because he plays the bad guy. A forensic pathologist by day becomes a serial killer by night... though his victims are all morally repugnant in their own lives, and so you tend to side with Dexter's rationale in the end. It's a great series: part thrill, part horror, part comedy. As for my stated cons, for some reason the sister gets on my nerves, but luckily it does not detract from my overall interest in the show. Even the opening credits are artistic and well done. And the extras in the DVD set are great. All in all, great show, great cast, great price and great gamble for fan or newcomer alike! Recommend!

Bought the first series of Dexter for my Parents for Christmas. Has a great storyline if you are in to people who like to kill "bad" people. He gets the ones who "got away". The next several seasons were just as good and I will probably buy them for my parents if they like this one!

This is probably the best series i have ever seen. I dont really like the whole shows about killing but for some odd reason i was completely in love with this season from the very first episode. After watching one you just want to keep watching. well worth the 20 bucks they charge for it.

At first I thought "who on earth would want to watch a show about a murder", but after the first episode I was hooked. This is a great show with more going on then just murder.

Dexter is one of the best TV series I've ever watched. Very suspenseful plot and great characters will keep you on the edge of your seat. If you're looking for a show to get into you can't go wrong with this one.

This will be blunt. This show has great character depth. The twists help in wanting more. Michael Hall does a great job with his role, and so does everyone else. The ending is great. Anyone who likes thrillers will enjoy this product.

This is an amazing show. The best part about it is the character development with all the secondary characters as well as the main character. It's really smart and it's great to see a "crime drama" that carries out an overall story.

There are very few shows that make me turn the television on, yet this show caught me from episode one. The writing is so dark and blunt with its sly mix of awkward humor. This is the peek of television. There is nothing better.
