Fun game but not much replay

This is a very fun and addicting game for any RPG adventuring fan. It is even more fun when you have some friends to play with. Once you beat the game you can always start a new character otherwise you end up just grinding it out to get materials or drops for better weapons. Besides that there is not much to do after you beat it.

With how technology has progressed with gaming this game does not compete. The game is just like the old one just with a little better graphics

One of the best Xbox One games so far!

As stated in the title of my review, Diablo 3 is probably one of my favorite Xbox One games so far. The look and feel are truly next gen, and don't feel like a simple port of a last-gen title. As far as gameplay, the frame rate stays silky smooth throughout, even with tons of monsters on screen. PC gamers usually say a title like this cannot succeed on consoles, and this certainly proves them wrong! Being able to map a large number of skills/abilities to various buttons, as well as the ability to now roll to avoid danger, make this feel great and easy to adjust to. The various levels of difficulty, long achievements, and constant stream of ever-increasing loot, keeps me coming back for more. I did not play the original Diablo 3, so I cannot comment on the added value that the Reaper of Souls expansion provides, but the game is great regardless. My only complaint is that the story gets kind of lost amid the loot hunting and gameplay, but I doubt many people play this for a story. Anyway, this is a must buy for One owners, so go play it before Destiny comes out and takes over all of our lives!

Casual Carnage For the Busy Professional

Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil Edition is a quality title for casual and hardcore gamers. It's a game about the constant need to right wrong and profit by constantly improving your gear through treasure hunting. Highlights include the local coop where you can play with friends and family, a difficulty slider which has several settings from novice to insane, and computer controlled companions to keep you company and assist when things get deep. Legendary loot to keep you hooked summed up, there is something here for everyone. Also, there are multiple classes to experiment with. I completed the game in about four days but I must say I was putting about four - eight hours a day into it on the weekends. I turned up the difficultly to "Expert". I consider myself a verteran of at least one Diablo game. The chapters leading up to the "Reaper of Souls" content are marvelous. My only real issue with the game is the actual "Reaper of Souls" content. It's one chapter long and It seemed rushed and unfinished. The end of the game, no spoilers here, was a dialog box asking me to go back to town. That's it folks. It's worth a buy. In fact, one of my contacts went out and bought the game after seeing all the cool achievements I was spamming on my friend's list.

I have played all of the Diablo Games, and this one is definitely my new favorite. It has extremely good replay value, and is extremely beautiful on a 4K television!!

    Simply excellence!

This is my first time playing a game in the Diablo series. Never played it on any platform. And I gotta say, I didn't know what I was missing. The battles are just insane. I was a bit discouraged at first. I wasn't familiar with the game mechanics, button commands etcetera, I got killed a couple of times at low level. But you level up, and it's even with the pace of the game. I am about half way through it, and I haven't felt bored or over powered yet. You do have to manage your inventory very closely. You can only carry 60 items at a time. So you quickly break any hoarding habits you might have. If you are like me and hate leaving loot in a dungeon, you can usually go pick it up after making a trip back to the base camp. So far, I've been splitting salvaging and selling the loot, and I seem to be doing rather well that way. make sure that you repair your equipment regularly. The graphics are incredible! I read a review that the frame rate can drop on the Xbox One version, but I can't tell at all if it does happen. Everything is fast moving and butter smooth. Loads are very quick. In fact, I don't mind area loads at all, they seem to happen within seconds. I really like Dragon Age Origins, and this game reminds me a lot of that game. I highly recommend it.

    Great Hack N Slash Game

    Posted .

This is the top of the line for hack n slash games. I loved all the little details that go into the spells, characters, and animations. It was cool to see the different weapons and outfits on my player during actual game play. The upgrade system is very well done as well. Ever though it is great looking and the best for hack n slash it just was not my type of game as the repetitiveness got to me and I kept falling asleep. Lol, when I could not sleep I played Diablo and within a 1/2 hour I was sound asleep until my girlfriend woke me up. Doing the same repetitive motion is just not for me. If you enjoy hack n slash then I would highly recommend it to you or if you have problems sleeping give it a try. It helped me sleep!

    Couch co-op

There are very few games for the xbox one as it is and even fewer co-op games you can play while not online. I believe they call it couch co-op. I have three younger boys and getting them to all sit together and play a game without screaming for a turn is a life saver and a major selling point for me. This is a must buy if your looking for this feature. The game itself is also very well made and has provided many hours of fun for my boys so far.

    Great On Console

    Posted .

I have this on PC and Xbox One. I prefer to play this game on the console. You cannot participate in the ranked play, but I think the game just plays better on console. Playing multiple people on the same console gets old kind of fast since you have to stop every time a player goes into their inventory, skills window, etc. Also, everyone has to stay near each other since everyone shares the same screen (not split screen).

    Money well spent

Whether you get this game on sale or not it is worth every penny. It is an improvement on the old Diablo games and you would never guess this was designed for PC at first. Blizzard always makes a quality product and they continously support it. You cannot play with players on other consoles or on the PC so if you want to play with your friends they have to buy it on the console of your choice with you.

Big Improvement over the 360 version

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This was my last purchase on the 360 before upgrading to the xbox one in November. I was underwhelmed by that version's graphics, frame rate. I had no interest in buying this for the X1, but after seeing this at my friend's house, I was sold. The framerate is so smooth at 60 fps this time around and looks so good. Have never seen any pop in or screen tearing at all. The increased legendary loot drop is great, as well as the mailbox feature to quickly send your friends gear you don't need. Varying levels of game modes to unlock and the rifts you can play in looks really cool. If you've never played Diablo III, this is the time to do it, especially before all the games starting hitting in the Fall. Its worth your time and money and i'm hoping Blizzard gives the consoles ongoing updates as they do the PC. Fingers crossed.

i've been playing diablo since part one came out in '94, this game has all of the same styling as the original with a seamless transition to consoles. the power distribution, upgrades and replayability are great. I DO wish in co-op mode a friend could play other hero's in my library to gain xp- cest la vie

I've never played a Diablo title before, only watched, but I finally started playing since it was released on a console. It's a great multiplayer game! And easy to get the hang of. It definitely has a Gauntlet Legends feel, but with more to it.

Bought this as a gift for my sister in order to play something together even though she is in another state. She loved the game so much she played separate from me and leveled up a couple character classes high! Lots of fun and great graphics.

I normally trade games in when I am done with them, but once I finished the campaign on this one I just wanted to keep playing with new characters. Won't be trading this one in. If you like action RPGs there are none better than this.

Addition of Adventure Mode Makes This Game Great

I had the original D3 for the PS3 and really liked it until I beat the game for the 4th or 5th time. I then ran into a lot (mostly everyone) of people with bugged gear. I probably played for 60 hours or so before putting it away for good. When I got the One, I decided to give it another shot and am glad I did. Adventure mode rocks and all of the new Goblins are a blast to defeat, especially when they open portals to another new world! I can run rifts all day and find/experience something new nearly every time. I am about 90 hours in and am still as excited to play as I was when I first got it. Great game that I would recommend to anyone.

This is an awesome game for any Diablo or RPG fan. It's easy to get into for new players too. Controller works good for it, I actually enjoyed it more than keyboard and mouse.
