This kit is great if you bought the Breville Sous Chef 16 before the peel and dice version came out. Obviously, its much better now to just buy the Sous Chef peel and dice, but if you already had the old one and want the new features it is a must-buy. On the positive side, you get an entirely new bowl that is compatible with the old accessories. It is nice to have two bowls/lids so you can have two things going without having to stop and clean everything. Unfortunately, everything is still hand-wash only. The peeling feature worked really well for potatoes, but it removed too much on the apples we tried. Dicing works a lot better than expected. It takes a little getting used to it, but it works best just to dice everything all at once, then worry about pushing the remaining bits through the grate (that part takes some practice, but makes sure you don't waste food). I'm not sure why, but I thought the add-on case that goes on the bottom of the accessory kit was a drawer. It is not, it only sits under the accessory case so you have to take the whole accessory case off whenever you want to access it. I guess it is nice that is has a home and looks good stored.

We needed this to complete our mixer from Breville. It’s really great. Truly makes the entire process so easy.
