Very Solid Album

It's hard to imagine Bonnie Raitt releasing a bad album any more. She knows how to find good songs, and is even better at getting to the heart of them both vocally and instrumentally. Her take on INXS' 'Need You Tonight' is a perfect reinvention of the song. The performances are perfectly gritty or tender, depending on the song, without ever reverting to meaningless over-the-top histronics.
This album should please any Bonnie Raitt fan.

I absolutely love this release....Quite a diverse selection of material here...but all quite enjoyable.... wasn't sure what to expect of the INXS cover...but pleasantly surprised.....and that SLIDE GUITAR!!! She just keeps getting better with time.....OK... yea, she can sing too. (: Songwriter of the year?

You know if you like Bonnie Raitt then you will probably like this one. A few cover songs and the rest is just pure Rockin Blues. Personally I think she has had better albums but this one is ok.

Bonnie never does less that totally classy work, and this new one is no exception. I slightly prefer the previous one Slipstream, but rest assured Dig In Deep delivers the goods.

Like fine wine, some things get better with age...and the more you have the better it tastes. Raitt brings her well seasoned talent to bear in full force to present soulful and blistering performances that keep you begging to take another sip of it. If you're a Bonny Raitt fan, this is special, if you're not a big fan, you need hear this!

My wife truly discovered this superstar talent at the Ann Arbor Blues Festival in 1971. She owns all of her LPs (then CDs). Perhaps it's because like Dan Fogelberg, Bonnie and my wife are "twins of different mothers" but these two talented redheads in my life are still at the top of their games!

Bonnie Raitt is peerless at wrenching every emotion from a song while placing it on a blue-driven base. Mixing originals with unusual covers (she effectively owns INXS' "Need You Tonight"), her aggressive attitude and guitar playing add up to another late-career winner. She shines most though on the ballads, particularly "Undone," where her gravelly, honey vocal explores the pitfalls of an unraveling love. Not to be missed.

I have been a fan of Bonnie Raitt for about 28 years and she has never disappointed me with her musical excellence. I had very high expectations for cd and they were met and exceeded. The beautiful storytelling and music cannot be fully described. It is truly a unique listening experience.

Everything that you love about Bonnie and then some. Inspired originals, great covers, awesome band lineup, and smoking hot slide guitar that is unmistakable. Her whiskey voice gets better with age and this stands up to anything that she has recorded in the past.

Great tracks on this CD. Love lots of the older CDs and this one gets back to some of the early original blues sounds. Well worth adding to your cd collection. Also love the fact Best Buy still keeps CDs in stock when so much has gone to digital downloads. Getting hard to find real CDs. I would recommend this to any Bonnie Raitt fan and new listeners as well.

One of the best slide guitar players ever doesn't stray far from the blues roots she learned over 40 years ago. Voice has the mellowing effect that all singers hope to retain. Ageless in quality and style.

Great new CD from Bonnie Raitt. Even covers an old INXS tune, One of My Kind. Lots of signature slide licks and soul. Worth picking up. Just wish it had a couple more tunes on it. All the new Cd's seem to be going back to the 40 min. range.
