Absolute trash. Stopped working after 2 months and rarely used it! Stand is meh. And you are only paying for the light, which works, till it doesn’t

Good works good and what i needed it for. Great size and easy to use.

This kit was the perfect setup for recording video for a class. When I first unboxed this I was a little skeptical that there seemed to be a lot of black plastic, but it seems to be holding up well. The light is nice and bright and had a decent-sized built-in battery. An included diffuser went on right away and helps to soften the cast light alongside the different color temperature and brightness settings, which were a surprising touch. The light could have been a ring light, but also a ring light would take up more space and be more cumbersome to store. The hot-shoe mount adapter also makes this kit more versatile if you want to pair it with a DSLR camera. The tabletop tripod's legs extend to push a phone up to almost 9-inches above a surface, and the spring mechanism holds a phone well, even if it does feel like any generic selfie stick phone holder. I liked that the tripod has an adjustable ball head, but I worry that will start to droop over time. It does pack down nice and compact. The microphone with a lavalier clip and Bluetooth remote round out this setup. It's amazing how much improvement these add ons bring to a video capture.

I’ve been wanting something like this Digipower - The Instructor - Kit, for a while now. My primary uses would be creating videos to post online for social media or to live stream. And what this set has to offer, should do the job. At least to start off with, as a beginner, for basic video creation. A handy user guide is included. This particular Digipower kit did impress me. Setup was easy. The adjustable tripod is really well made, and quite sturdy, having little rubberized pads on the ‘feet’ to assist with “staying put”. The LED light is bright! Really bright, so even on its lowest settings, it might be a good idea not to stare directly into the light for long. A snap-on diffuser filter is included, which is a plus. There are three buttons on the side of the light itself - on/off, brightness and color temp - as well as, a small LCD control panel on the back which shows you battery life, along with the display numbers for the brightness and color temperature settings. Now even though it is just an inexpensive clip-on mic, the sound coming from the microphone is pretty darn good. Clear, not tinny or hollow, and with no echo or distortion. It’s certainly good enough for simple video chatting or beginner streaming. And, depending on what cell phone you have, you’ll need an adapter to plug the 3.5mm jack into. The remote is basic; simply used to start/stop the video (or take a picture). A minor thing worth pointing out - The ‘spring’ mechanism designed to hold your phone is place, is a bit too strong, in my opinion. It took two hands and some careful finagling for me to get mine in there correctly. For what this Digipower - The Instructor - Video Call Pro Kit is, with its more than reasonable price point, I can wholeheartedly recommend.

Because of the weight of the phone, you’re not able to maneuver the phone to a side “view” by moving the ball mechanism left or right, because the tripod topples over.

Brilliant Tripod that is compact and the lighting is great illumination.

The Digipower Professional Video kit is great product for anyone desiring to enhance the production quality of their video output. The rechargeable light is outstanding. The included light is very bright and has a great battery life to fit my needs. The microphone worked well when capturing my voice, and the tripod was sturdy and provided sufficient height for basic usage. I did wish for the tripod to extend further in height. Also, many phone makers are removing audio jacks from phone so some users may want to check for compatibility. Finally, a kit should contain a least a case to make to portable for those on the go. At the end of the day, this is not a perfect kit, but a great kit to get a bump in video quality.

The LED is amazing and bright but the rest is subpar. For the light alone it was good enough.

Poor design and not what the hype is about. Its very small.

It was most definitely needed you can't go wrong with this I have one of them so far one for my traveling

The Digipower - The Instructor - 8.5" Tripod Professional Video Kit is spectacular. The kit includes everything you need to make high quality videos or engage in video conferences. A bright light that ensures your appearance is vibrant and clear while on camera and the microphone is phenomenal. Very easy to attach the lapel clip. The microphone cord has sufficient length so that it can be plugged in without snagging. Your voice will come through crystal clear so your audience or members on the call can hear you without distortion. The battery provides long lasting power so you don't have to worry about longer recording sessions. It also allows you to easily reposition the tripod and light without having to be mindful of a power cord. The adjustable tripod is great. it helps you ensure you are always centered in the illumination. I love the design of the kit. The components are all built with exceptional durability. I plan to use this video kit for years to come. The adjustable tripod can be placed on a table or directly on the floor and still provides a great illumination. This video kit really enhances your video creation experience. I feel like I'm on a professional set. I never realized how much of an improvement having lighting can make on your videos. There is no glare, no noise or saturation. It's great! I highly recommend the Digipower - The Instructor - 8.5" Tripod Professional Video Kit.

The device is very good, but if you need the light without a Phone, the light stand doesn't stay hold without a Phone.

The Digipower "Instructor" tripod kit consists of a tripod, light, and lavalier microphone - all the must-have accessories for today's digital creators. I do both online meetings as well as my content (most of my content is focused on my hands and showing a craft). For the online meetings, this set up gets a 3/5 from me; for content creation not directly looking in to the camera, solid 5/5. I'll explain below in the cons. Pros: - Well thought-out design - Nice extendable legs for the perfect seating - Spring-loaded phone holder works very, very well and keeps devices in place - Feels sturdy and stable - Microphone has excellent clarity upon playback (*note you will need an adapter for an iPhone or other device does that not have a 3.5mm plug input) - The shutter remote - in theory - is great, but I much prefer to edit my videos after-the-fact rather than trying to remote control in the moment. Cons - just one, and its a complicated one: - The light. It's just simply so bright, it's almost blinding. Even set on the lowest setting (1%), I felt it was too bright for a Microsoft Teams or Zoom meeting. Regardless of setting and placement, I couldn't find a comfortable location for the light; also reflects badly on glasses - something I don't experience with a ring-shaped light. - On the other hand, for non-facing camera use (focused on hands for craft, etc.) the light is good. So it's a pro and a con at the same time. So, overall, I would give the "Instructor" set up a solid 4/5. For meetings - maybe there's a way to make the light a little bit less harsh and bright. For content creation -- and anecdotally for other tasks needing a very bright light - this is a great set up. I used the light with an iPhone to record a video of replacing a couple of light switches with new smart switches - that turned out beautifully. I would recommend this product, especially if you are a beginner. For what you get, it's a great overall value.

Immediately after the first use on a conference call, people noticed the difference. My office isn’t very bright based on how the light comes in the window and having only one lamp. I put the LED light on the tripod with my phone and set the brightness so that it wasn’t too bright for me to look at and it made a huge difference. I could see that the image of myself was much clearer and I didn’t look like I was in a cave. With the tripod being adjustable, it made a big difference as I was able to put it just above my laptop monitor and still be on camera while looking at everyone on our zoom call. It advertises 16 hours of battery life which I think is a bit of a stretch but maybe at its lowest settings you can get close to that. At full charge and at my desired brightness and warmth, it lasted about 7 or 8 hours before I needed to recharge it. Simply remembering to turn it off between calls will save a significant amount of battery life and probably get you through the entire day. The included microphone is good but since I use my AirPods for calls, I won’t typically need it but, when my family joins me at my desk to FaceTime relatives, it will come in very handy. Overall, I think this light is well made and makes a significant difference in my conference call experience. I don’t think you would be disappointed and recommend giving it a try!

WOW, this did not disappoint. I needed something portable and easy to use that would offer great video conferencing and instruction recording. This did not disappoint. In the kit you get a tripod, mobile phone, holder, adjustable light, remote control, and a wired mic. I used an iPhone 11 Pro Max without a case and this held my phone perfectly. Be sure to charge the light fully before your first use. Let me start with the light, this is where all the magic happens. You can adjust the lighting from 3100K - 5500k. Depending on your lighting around you, this is fantastic to be able to dial in just the right amount of light to help make you stand out crystal clear in your video. There is a nice display on the back of the light unit that lets you know the level and how much battery life is left. The brighter you make it, the more power it will use. Set up is a breeze and very intuitive. Pairing the remote is like adding any other Bluetooth device to your phone, you do this through the settings option on your phone. This allows you to easily snap pictures or start your recording without having to reach out to the button on your phone. And the wired mic is a nice bonus, it does a nice job of focusing on your voice.

This is a great kit for those on the go that need to do Zoom meetings from their phones. Setup is super easy. Beware though, the light can be exceedingly bright. This works well for streaming and vlogging. Might not be the best for creating tik toks. The tripod is stable, does not shake easily and holds the phone securely. The legs fold together to make a short selfie stick as well. The omnidirectional microphone has great clarity, my only complaint is that it's wired. A wireless one would have been better in this kit. All in all, if you like to do vlogging or streaming, this could be a good addition to your equipment.
