Item is as advertised, if setup is done correctly.

Did not even know about DVD player maintenance untill mine started freezing during playback. The lens cleaner fixed the problem on first use.

It solved the problem of the dvd player skipping, etc. with only one time through - did it a second time to ensure best playing.

I love this product very much. It cleaned all my DVD and CD players. It worked fantastice on my retiring DVD changer.

The DVD cleaner showed minimal improvement in the performance of the DVD player after use. The DVD was connected to a TV with only the built-in stereo speakers and the tutorial for the speaker functionality test was confusing and did not seem to apply to this setup, but there was no way to exit without having it start at the beginning again.

This little unit does exactly what it says it will do, which is rare these days!

It worked just like it said it would on dvd and computer drives!

For a senior citizen the instructions are clear and totally understandable!

Cleaning disc was used 6-10 times on same DVD but DVD continued to freeze picture and piculate image. The player was 10 years old, so replaced it with Insignia player that cost less than disc cleaner and same DVD played correctly.

I used on a Wii because the lens was dirty. It didn't work. Ended up bringing it in for repair. They cleaned the lens.

I used this in my wife's car. Still getting skipping noises. Will try the liquid cleaner...

I revived a three year old JVC vcr and dvd recorder and player. The vcr worked great but the dvd player would play a dvd for about 5 minutes and would freeze and stop. I brought DVD Dr. and problem solved and avoided the Geek Squad.

This worked very well and cleaned the lens right away. We had several DVDs that would not work in our car player and now they do. It reads them right away.

Works as advertised and cleaned my particularly dirty player.

I bought this to help with the DVD player in my van. Plugged it in, followed the steps, and it works!!! Kids are happy again the DVD player doesn't skip or stop.

Was ready to buy a new DVD player when saw this on the shelf and decided it might be worth the try. It worked great! DVD all better now.

I picked this up at my local Best Buy store for $10.49. Although it was for DVDs, the store associate advised it should work for the car CD player and that I could return it if it didn't. I tested it out in the parking lot and it worked within about a minute of cleaning. At first, my CD player said "check disk" after I inserted it, but then I took it out and put it back in and switched tracks for about a minute or so before the pesky check disk error came back (it came back if I didn't continually switch tracks). Pulled it out and tried an audio CD and it worked beautifully. All my CDs were stopping like crazy before. This was in a 2004 Infiniti stock CD player.

A bit of a skeptic and reluctant to buy it...but my laptop DVD-R was having issues and figured it wouldnt hurt since its already out of warranty. First time running the cleaner and now Im back to being able to burn DVD-Rs!
