If your Dash is having trouble picking up, you may have a clog. The first thing to check is the the filter. just pop off the canster, twist the lid and pull out the filter. you can rinse it under warm water, squeezing it to release the dirt, and then let it dry for 24 hours. Next reomove the main hose near the wand handle and the base and run a broom through it to knock out any debris. Finally, if you haven't found the source, check the lower nozzle. You should be able to look down into it to check for obstructions. Just use a wire utensil to fish any debris out.One other way to improve suction is by ensuring it's on the correct height setting. For bare floors, put the height to 1 and turn off the brush roll by stepping on the brushroll On/Off pedal. if this doesn't help, please email [email protected] for further assistance. Thanks!

Impossible to clean

I had to take mine completely apart to get to the hose where the clog was at and then its not easy to get to

we're sorry to hear you're so frustrated with your Dash. One way to keep the dash from clogging is to rinse the filter under the dirt cup lid every 3-6 months, or more frequently depending on use. A clean filter ensures best performance. band breaks and height adjuster falls to low

After calling in and getting a new band I thought it would be fine. Dirt Devil mailed us the first 2 but after the third time they said we would have to take it to a store to get it fixed and they didn't know if it would be under warranty. We have owned this this for 4 months!!
