If you are experiencing shorter run times, please try this: Run the battery down completely and unplug the charger for at least 10 minutes. Afterwards, plug the charger in and plug the Gator to the charger and allow it to charge for 24 horus. This should bring a full charge back to your Gator. Perfect for those little jobs where you don't want to haul out the BIG vac! Highly recommend it!

I have a self cleaning box with crystal-like cat litter. The vacuum is used to pick up the crystals that the cat carries out in his feet. Although it will pick them up, the vacuum is challenged to get the crystals out of the looped carpet mat that I use under the litter box. Works great on vinyl flooring.

You may want to place some cut-pile carpet squares around your kitty litter box to make for easier pick up. You can usually find them at your local dollar store. The Gator should perform better on that type of carpet. Hope this helps! --John, Dirt Devil Customer Care

Definitely follow instructions on keeping it fully charge. I charge it after every use and it works perfect. From big trucks to small cars, no problem here.
