Posted .Hi gifted! If you are experiencing a short run time with your gator, please try this: Run the battery down completely, and allow the unit to stay on for an additional 10 minutes. Unplug the charger for 10 minutes as well. Once time is up, plug the charger back in, turn the unit off, and plug the unit into the charger and allow to charge for 24 hours. This should return life back to the battery. We recommend performing this reset at least once a month. We also recommend not leaving the unit plugged in for more than a few days if not in use. Unplug the charger from the wall for 2 minutes. 2.) Run the unit completely down until it dies. 3.) Re-charge unit for a complete 24 hours. Once completed the unit should run between 8-10 minutes. This product is great for what we need it for: quick clean-ups without having to lug the large vacuum out of the closet. With 3 children under 3 years of age, quick clean-ups are a must, and the Dirt Devil is a huge help.

This vacuum does everything that I needed it for, picks up every thing from sand to broken glass pieces and has a quick and easy dispense mechanism.

Read the manual about charging!! If you do not charge for at least 24 before first use and let it run down until it is completely dead once a month, it will not hold a good charge, you must do this to maintain the battery properly.

The suction power is good and the size and weight adds to the convenience factor. We took this item camping and it held a good charge for the four days we were there. (Used it about 15 - 20 minutes per day. I would recommend this product.

I bought this hand held vacuum with the hopes of being able to clean under the couch cushions, however they remain dirty. The suction of this product is so bad that after the first few pulls, dirt and debris begins to fall out. The storage compartment only holds about a quarter cup of dirt and has to be emptied quit often.

Please remove the filter from inside the dirt cup and brush it off over the trashcan. We suggest changing the filter every 6-12 months for optimum performance.
