Had product just over one year s out of warranty & BestBuy does not offer black tie protection on this item. Would not recommend unless you have a good warranty.

Posted .Hi Eduardo! Oh no, this sounds like your Gator needs to go through a simple battery reset procedure to help restore the runtime. Overtime and with continued use, the runtime will diminish. Follow these steps below and get back to us by calling 1-800-321-1134 (Monday-Friday 8:00-6:00 p.m. EST), leave us a comment on Facebook, or tweet us @DirtDevil. We're here to help out!
1. Unplug the charger from the wall. It must be unplugged for at least 1 minute.
2. Run the unit until it completely shuts down.
3. Place the unit back on the charger and charge it for a complete 24 hours.
On your next use, the runtime should be restored to 8-10 minutes. That should do it!

The suction is not very great either - I there is a leaf stuck on your floor it won't come off without help of your hand.

Other then that, it works really good, and the battery seems to last

One of the main things I don't like about is how the top can pop out real easy thus allowing all the dust and dirt I just collected fall all over the place. I wish the lock was more secure. It does the job, barely.

I charged this thing for the full 24 hours, then I used it and it had half-decent suction for about two minutes of use, then it was basically useless. It wouldn't even pick up like a leaf piece. Will be going back ASAP. It did seem well made. Like it would suck forever.
