Great machine
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We needed a second vacuum since we didn't want to lug our big vacuum down into our basement to clean up after our pets. This Shark bagless stick vacuum is a great solution. It's much more powerful than it appears and has an option for floors or furniture. The only downside was the container which holds the dirt/debris is a bit small but that's an acceptable tradeoff for the size and convenience of this machine.

Pay more $$ for lighter model
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this sweeper after using a friend’s more expensive one from a different brand. I love the concept—cordless stick vac with a motorized roller head and ample attachments for versatility. The construction is as expected for the brand and price point. Attractive colors. Great suction and power. Horrible design. The handle is awkward at best for upright use. The thing weighs more than my full sized bag vac, and it’s all in the top portion (10+ pounds), requiring serious arm strength to operate (weight of a conventional vac is on the floor, not in your hand). There’s no way I would use this daily or even weekly. Far too heavy. I may keep it for the stair function, but only until I get a lighter alternative. The more expensive models weigh literally half as much. I’m extremely disappointed.

Worked well for a little bit
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product started off great. Picked up everything on hard woods and transitioned easy to the carpet. About a month in the problems started. I mounted the wall mount with the included stickies. BAD idea. The whole thing fell off the wall and crashed to the ground, yes I followed the directions to mount it correctly. When it fell it broke the clip for the attachments. So then I screwed the wall mount to the wall. That didn't work either. The cord keeps coming loose and makes the thing crash to the floor again. Major design flaw! When it comes to emptying the canister, you have to reach in there with your fingers or something and get the stuff that gets stuck. Wicked ANNOYING. Lastly, about 2 months in, the vacuum just stopped picking stuff up off the hard woods. It only just pushes the dirt from one side of the floor to the other. I had been using it mainly on the carpets, until today when the long attachment just broke! Luckily I have a Kirby as my main vacuum and we decided to purchase a Dyson stick vac for the everyday use. I just wish I spent my money on the Dyson BEFORE this. The company responsible for Dirt Devil should be ashamed of themselves for putting this to market.

Surprisingly powerful little vacuum
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dirt Devil has made a nice little vacuum here. While it won't replace a larger upright for a full household, it does provide a lighter, cordless alternative that is easy to construct, operate, and store. I appreciate the included wall mount, though some proper hardware to install it would have been helpful. The Reach Max Plus vacuum has a compact design and comes with everything needed for a quick cleaning session at a runtime of about 20-25 minutes non-stop between charges. Charging time is comparable to other cordless stick vacuums, about 3 hours for a full charge. It has dual power settings, though I found myself using the high speed more often on both carpet and hard floors. It doesn't have an area light, but it's not a dealbreaker for such an affordable stick vac. The rotating brush when using it as an upright has a see-through window which provides a nice visual touch. All in all, a solid vacuum that gives you multiple cleaning options while saving you storage space. Worth a buy. Full disclosure, I was provided this product for my honest, unbiased review.

Good stick vacuum for the money
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the concept and it is a good value for the money but the battery life is too short and the suction could be better. Definetly a good vacuum to pull out when you just want a quick pass or want to vacuum your car/furniture. If it were my only vacuum I would want more.

Devilish
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This vacuum is not housewife-friendly! I'm a retired electro-mechanical engineer, and I had difficulty operating the swivels and disposal release buttons. They are very stiff! A little silicone grease helped somewhat. The wall mount is a joke. The instructions just sort of glide over how to set this up. I opted not to use it because my wife would have quickly destroyed the charging plug. Guess this is why the instructions are mute here. Now for the real disappointment. The suction is just so-so. Not real happy about picking up dry cat food!!! The brush whirls it around but only some of it makes it up the stick to the canister. I got it mostly to vacuum under beds and furniture.Seems to work ok on dust.

Good portable Vacuum
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The shark was great for small areas. Which is what it is intended for. The battery life is comparable to other similar products from other brands. I love having it for quick clean up jobs around the fire place.

Great Vacuum
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to use on Tiled floors. I easy to use, love the swivel head, has 2 speeds, but I always use high. Being cordless, I can just grad it, turn it on, and vacuum kitchen and dining room. Better than Dyson in the fact that it has an On/Off switch, most Dysons I looked at have On/Off Triggers, no way to keep on constantly other than holding trigger which would give you hand cramp after a while. Love this thing.

Great when I got it, now not so much
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This vacuum is now in pieces in my trunk while I try to find time to go to Best Buy and see if they'll refund me my money. I bought this less than a year ago, it was good for the first few months, good* not great. Definitely not great for pets, any amount of pet hair gets stuck in the poorly shaped funnel into the dirt catch. Also since then, the plastic release for the brush on the main attachment broke so the brush falls out while I vacuum sometimes if the release comes out of place, and yesterday the peice of plastic holding that main attachment straight and in place broke, which then tore the plug out and now the brush will not move at all. Buying a Dyson now like I should have in the first place. This vacuum wasn't great to begin with and has consistantly gotten worse. If you have one small carpet and no pets, THIS IS YOUR VACUUM.

Not Even Close
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All I wanted was a simple cordless vacuum. This one doesn't even come close. The main problem is that there is a poor seal between the dirt canister and the motor housing. This causes leaks and low vacuum strength unless you apply hand pressure while vacuuming. The trap door for emptying the canister is also unreliable and leaky. It latches unreliably and is a very poorly designed and manufactured component. In addition, the vacuum is difficult (the parts are tight and stick together) to take apart for handheld versus upright configurations. All in all it was a real disappointment - especially considering the good reviews!? Perhaps I just got one that was part of a bad batch. All I know is that this sucker's going back to Best Buy.

Clogs, no suction = terrible!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This vacuum has no suction and is impossible to maintain. There are several places that clog up and are very hard to clean out. There are several narrow passages and some tight turns the dirt has to go through, including one spiral: all bad ideas. We are very good at using tools. Sadly, once it's clean it still doesn't have suction. If you turn it on its strongest setting with it perfectly clean and no other part attached and you put your hand over the suction opening you will immediately realize that this is a very, very weak vacuum. Then when you attach the power head, and it's spinning, and you try to suck dirt or debris off of a floor, you can pass over it a few times and it'll all still be there. Fail.
