Customers are saying

Customers praise the game quality and nostalgic appeal of Disney Classic Games: Aladdin and The Lion King, finding the remasters excellent and the packaging attractive. However, some customers express concerns about the sturdiness and potential damage to the clamshell case, as well as the higher price point compared to standard versions. The unique retro packaging is a highlight for many, though others find the cost of this feature not justified.

OMG! WOW, I was holding out on getting this, but I loved these games growing up and to be able to get it in an old school Sega Case is amazing! I love the Nostalgia of the Sega case even though it doesnt say Sega anywhere on the box. Still a nice nod to the old cases which are awesome for display! I got this for collecting and am very happy to add it to my collection! I also got the game digital.. The packaging on this was too notch and is easier to get in Mint condition. Due to the nice plastic case. I did not go with the Super Nintendo box version because I was pretty confident they would ship it with a crushed box since the super nintendo boxes were cardboard.. Even in the stores most were crushed and if retailer's could understand that LIMITED Edition items should be stored in their locked non metal bar cabinets and not on shelves to get damaged.. These things leave the factory Mint and should be sold Mint if its a limited version. Im super happy this Sega version is Mint and looking great on display!

Love this little package! It’s a clamshell like the old genesis games came packaged. There three versions of each game. Also they have a very nice virtual museums. I would highly recommend these classics!

    Cool edition for Genesis Fans

This edition comes in a Sega Genesis style clamshell. The dimensions are the same as the original clamshell cases, although maybe a little thinner of a spine, and the quaility seems pretty close as well. Instead of a Sega game cartridge, however, there is a foam insert with the Switch cartridge nested inside. It also comes with a fold out poster and one full color manual containing Aladdin in one half - and if you flip the manual 180 degrees and flip it over - you have the Lion King Manual. The manual is of similar paper quality as a Genesis game manual. The case even comes with the hanger on the top. This does NOT come with a Nintendo Switch case inside, so it will not match the rest of your Switch collection - if that is of concern to you. There is also a Super Nintendo variation of this retro edition, in which the cart comes in a recessed cardboard inlay much like the original SNES carts did - no Nintendo Switch case in that variation either. Both games are on one cart, and if you want a review of the actual game/port/emulation/etc; there are plenty of reviews on the listing for the standard version of this game. Overall, I recommend this edition to people who loved these games when they were kids (who played on Genesis), and to people who enjoy physical media and like getting manuals with their games. If you can, buy this in person as the clear plastic outer film that holds the cover sheet can become damaged fairly easily. If you want to see it unboxed, I have a video on YouTube - as may other people, and check it out that way.

Really great package, will be worth money in the future, no doubt. Love the rigid clamshell case. They’re great, historically notable games too—not just for the collectors. Shame it’s missing one canonical game that would’ve made it fully complete (SNES Aladdin), but I’m not tripping.

These are two of my favorite Disney games when I was a kid. This cartridge has multiple versions of these games (SNES, Genesis). The version I purchased has the old school Genesis clam shell design which is cool and very nostalgic. It's a little pricey for these old games but I really enjoyed them.

This was really too expensive when it released but now its cheaper. If you are able to get it at a discount then go for it. I would recommend the clamshell genesis one because of the potential damage during shipping.

Highly recommend this collection of games. Only downside is that there isn’t the SNES version of Aladdin included. There are different directors cut versions of the games as well as the base games, plus the game boy versions. Definitely a solid collection. I enjoyed my time with the game. If you can buy the retro style boxes for this, it’s a cool touch. I have the sega clamshell retro box and it’s a cool little piece to my collection.

If you grew up with games from the 80's through the 90's then you will remember that disney had some wonderful games on the snes and genesis as well as good handheld versions. This edition is packaged just like the genesis games were along with items we used to see all the time like manuals and posters etc. If you are a fan of these classic games its a no brainer. Looks good next to my original genesis versions of these games.

I love these games. This is such a cool collection. A must own from the 16bit era of gaming. My only grip is that there is no traditional case in this collection. I know it doesn't advertise one, but it would have been nice. Also my case doesn't hold a genesis game cart. It has a cut out (filled with foam to hold the switch cart) like it should hold one but it doesn't.

As a collecter i sprung the extra 20 bucks to get the clamshell case version of this, so if you dont care about an extra plastic case, just get the regular version. Other than that its pretty self explanitory, 2 old genesis games based on disney movies, so dont buy it expecting some mind blowing new games, but its worth it if youre into tgat sorta thing like i am.

Wow...this brought me back to my youth. Never have I felt so happy and angry at the same time. I love the looks and old school feel of this on the Nintendo switch, but when i get to that cave of wonder level I nearly throw the controllers like back in the 90's. Good thing geek squad exists.

Couldn’t wait to grab this classic genesis style version for my switch collection. Gameplay is just as expected from the original versions and still gives you all the same fun and anguish as it did when you were younger.

I had the original Sega Genesis Aladdin as a kid and was very excited to see this game get a remaster, let alone a physical copy for switch. Lion King was just a bonus for me. This version comes with a manual and some neat inserts, and the cartridge is stored in the plastic case, mimicking the old Genesis version case. The game itself is everything you would hope for in a remaster. Original genesis and Gameboy versions present, fully customizable controls (which is greatly appreciated as I played this with my 8bitdo genesis pad), save states, and cheats. Not only that but you get an updated version with bug fixes, a demo version, and the Japanese version of the Genesis release. That's pretty above and beyond as far as remasters go these days.
