I bought this game for parties between friends. It is a good game for that. Glad I purchased it and it really is nice to have another Wii game that may become rare at some point. It is a nice mystery game that is well executed and pretty colorful.

Interesting idea but so far kind of slow, maybe better suited for younger kids 5-9 yr olds

This is my first review on Best Buy. I had to take the time because I've relied heavily on others' reviews when making my purchases over the last two months. They have been extremely helpful and I appreciate everyone who takes the time. Now I'm just returning the favor. I didn't know what to expect when I purchased this game but Best Buy was running a special for $20 so I didn't think it would be a huge loss. Talk about a huge GAIN. My daughters are 6 & 8. They've been playing Wii Sports Resort since we got our Wii this summer. They picked out Kirby's Epic Yarn & New Carnival Games as their choices for b-day presents. I wanted something a little more adult. This game is like playing CLUE but SOOO much better. You get to pick which member of a family detective agency that you want to be (you can be a different person every time). Each one has a personality, they make cute remarks, and are different ages and races. You can add or remove a player from your saved game or even during a game. This is nice for parents so they aren't tied down to playing a whole game but you get brownie points for playing part of the time. :-) You start off as a rookie detective and move up. There are several modes of play. You start off in Story mode (after the tutorial) and as you progress, other mysteries (levels) are opened. Eventually you open up Play mode & Game mode. Play mode allows you to revisit each mystery but it has different clues and different endings! Game mode is where you can replay the mini games. These also have different levels and you can select which one you want to play each time. You can play alone or in a challenge with another player. Oh, there's also an endurance section of the mini games. Just so MANY choices. Each mystery/level has a different setting: The Manor, The Opera House, The Aquarium, The Train, The Cruise Ship, etc. I can't remember them all. Best of all, the kids are using their brains to decipher clues. Many times we had to go back through the clues because we missed a subtle clue. The game keeps track of clues for you in a detective notebook. You have to draw a sketch of the suspect from the clues then match it to the descriptions of all the suspects. Don't worry, you don't really draw just select short/tall, thin/round, male/female & short hair/long hair. The sketch changes accordingly. As you take your turn you pick which room and which ? (clue) to go to. If the ? (clue) is over a person, you can interrogate them. To get the clue you play a mini game. These get progressively harder as you go. It's starting to sound complicated now but all you have to do is go through the tutuorial. Remember, my girls are 6 & 8. With the exception of understanding some of the words they can do this by themselves. However, they aren't able to solve the later mysteries by themselves, usually I have to help with this and it sometimes takes me several turns to figure it out once they've gotten all the clues. This is such a well thought out game. I am truly impressed by Disney. Thank you! One last thing, you can play this cooperatively or against each other. We haven't tried playing against each other. That's more advanced. You must be more deceptive and manipulative. I'm not ready to teach them that yet! :-)

    Family Favorite!

Bought this for my nieces, 9 and 4. The four year old taught herself how to play -despite the fact that it took a while for her mother to figure it out. According to my sister, this has quickly become a family favorite because all ages can play and it's challenging, yet fun. (I gave a limited review of specifics because the review is mainly from my sister's report since I haven't had the opportunity to play it myself yet.)

We got this game for our children 11 & 13. I have played it with my 11 yr old Daughter and she and I had a good time. The story is easy to follow and the different events keep it interesting. It is not too hard for the younger ones to follow or be able to do the tasks.

We weren't 100% sure on this but the review looked great so we took a risk and it paid off. Its a great fun game. my wife and I play this and its a challenge but fun. Each time you play, the whodunnit is different so you play again and again with a different end result. alot of fun. highly recommended. may be difficult for young children to figure out the clues though.

This was an awesome game. Fun for the kids, but actually interesting and challanging enough to keep the adults interested. The mini games can get a little repetative, however the storyline is great. Our daughter, 11 really enjoys playing the game. My only regret is not buying the game the day it was release. I highly recommend it for families. I'm hoping for a Guilty Party 2 soon.

We had so much fun with this game we played it for 3 days in a row. The only problem is that we conquered it within that time and the mysteries don't change much. We have taken this game with us to several family functions and have always had a blast.

This game is very good at helping my 6 yr old develop logic skills. She wants to play everyday. Because of all the reading involved it is also helping her with her reading skills and comprehension.

This game is a lot of fun and we played it for hours. We finished it in 2 days.. So wish it was longer. It was not extremely difficult and that made it more fun. Some mystery games are too hard and the kids give up..

Its a great game for the entire family. My oldest song is 5 and he was able to play this game with problem. The game made my son use critical thinking skills for possible suspects. We loved it so much we purchased it as Christmas gift for may people.

The game is funny, awesome, challeging, and suprising. I would have never though the judge would be a criminal. The mini games are great and the clues always required thinking. Guilty party is the best game ever.
