I purchased this around the holidays to get the festive vibes going, and this movie never disappoints! Jim Carrey's Scrooge is awesome! The way this movie brings the Dicken's story to life is solid. There is a dark tone to some of the parts, which fits the mood of the story that some other renditions just don't get right. Solid quality on BluRay as well. I have a Panasonic UB820 player with my LG OLED display, and the upscaling makes this movie pop.

I found this version of A Christmas Carol to be very entertaining with a different slant on the story. While it does follow the basic story it is a rather dark version of that story. I would not allow small children to watch this movie because it may frighten them with the gruesome death of the ghost of Christmas present. There are a few spots that may be too dark for small children but it is a good story for everyone else. I have to say that I was surprised by how good Jim Carey's version of Scrooge was. I thought he would be clowning his way through the movie but he played it straight with just some humor along the way. All in all a very good performance.

A very lively version of "A Christmas Carol". Jim Carrey's voice work is very good; his Ghost of Christmas Past is one of the highlights. The soundtrack (music) is an important feature of the movie. Of course the animation is outstanding (as one would expect from Disney). The extras on the DVD show all of the work that went into making this film and it's quite amazing how live actors faces (Jim Carrey, Gary Oldman, Colin Firth, etc.) and movements are turned into animated characters.

This has become one of my favorite Christmas films. It's as fairly accurate adaptation of the classic novel, with a few Disney additions (the chase scene, etc), but overall, it's true to the work and the film is better for it. The blu ray quality is insanely awesome and it really transfers the viewer to Victorian England Christmas. If you're a fan of the book or even other adaptations, check this one out.

This is one of my favorite Christmas movies. One of my favorite retellings of this story. I was a little worried to watch it the first time because I don't remember the reviews being too flattering back then, but I think it's great. It's the basic tale of A Christmas Carol. Nothing weird was added so if you've read the book or seen any of the other films, then you know what you're in for. The animation was great and the imagining of the three ghosts interesting. My nephew, who is three, really likes this movies, as well, although he does get a bit scared at the beginning when Marley's ghost comes to visit. Overall, I'd recommend this. I love it and the little ones enjoy it, too.

Wow! What an amazing job done on the CG, the dialog, the very creative camera angles, meticulous attention to detail, and bravo to Jim Carey, who took on multiple character voices in this film! While a few parts are silly and a bit irritating, it is overall a masterpiece of genius artwork, emotion, and technical workmanship! Love it!

"A Christmas Carol" is one of the greatest stories ever written - so simple and powerful. Although I prefer a live-action version, the animation is fantastic and the producers are faithful to the novella. If you only have one movie in your collection, this would be the choice (although I also like Albert Finney's musical turn from 1970 very much).

Great family movie. We have watched it several times over. It is so well done. We have several versions of this story and this is one of the best we have ever seen. The soundtrack is wonderful. Obviously it is some type of animation but you have to question it while you’re watching because the expressions on the characters are so real.

A really good rendition of a Charles Dickens classic. Nice animation and a real "new" classic to own for the younger crowd to keep a tradition alive. A good movie to add to the holiday queue if you have a Christmas movie watch list for a family tradition. Great library addition.

Jim Carrey does such a wonderful job in this movie!!! I believe this is one of my favorite versions of the Christmas Carol! It's now going to be apart of the yearly movie traditions for sure. The extras are very good and interesting as well. Getting to see how they made it with the live action turning CGI is amazing. Excellent buy, and I highly recommend this movie!!

I've typically been a fan of the original 1938 Christmas Carol, and not many of the remakes, but this one blew me away. The story included a lot of details from the book that are often overlooked and the characters were so well animated it often felt better acted than by human actors. This is definitely a classic and one that will be enjoyed every Christmas!

Disney created a cartoon version of Charles Dickens’ classic with all the aspects to the story. I have seen other animated works and most make Scrooge comical, Disney created this animated movie to be faithful to Dickens’ Scrooge.

This is such a great movie. The color is absolutely beautiful. It is the classic story, and it is so well done in this animation. Just a little warning, however...the scene with Jacob Marley can definitely be a bit scary or disturbing for children as well as Scrooge's death scene. It is not horrifying, but a little scary.

This is a good movie. Animation is good. Faces can be a bit frightening, whether intentional or not. Good deal for what little it cost.

Disney’s A Christmas Carol looks to be a great addition to my collection of classic Christmas movies. I haven’t watched it yet, but the trailers I watched online were filled with magical adventure and incredible special effects. I just know this movie will become one of my Christmas favorites.

The movie was an amazing price since it was on sale. I love that I could get the BluRay for a gift for my daughter's friend. She was very happy to get a movie that seh wanted and I was happy I could get a gift that didn't cost me too much.

This is one of our family's favorite holiday movies! So much so that we even see the play every year! This is a great movie to grab the popcorn (with chocolate chips in it) and hot cocoa and snuggle up with the family during the holiday season!! A definite must!

Since I'm at home due to the Pandemic, I had time to watch movies. I saw A Christmas Carol for the first time and loved it. It was on sale and decided to take advantage. I like Christmas movies that make me reflect on life.

This is such a Classic Christmas Story and Jim Carrey playing the role of Scrooge is amazing! Perfect for the whole family... Well done Disney, excellent movie!!!
