A great movie and excellent performances by the two Rachels

Disobedience, in my opinion, was the best film of 2017/2018. It was so just so beautifully and eloquently well done. I still haven’t gotten over it. Clearly. Both Rachel’s and Alexander Nicola delivery spectacular performances. It was a shame that neither of them received any accolades for Disobedience.

My wife and I were not able to see this movie in our local movie theater and am happy we were able to purchase it at a good price from BestBuy and am looking forward to watching it as often as we want.

A unique, somewhat erotic thriller, in an unusual setting: the world of orthodox Jews. 2 very good actresses in a story of forbidden love. Well worth your viewing.

One of the best films I have ever seen. This movie is all about the characters emotions, the facial expressions, the looks in their eyes, the physical nuances. It is a film filled with splendid acting, not only from the main three cast members, who are all fabulous (Not sure why none of them received an Academy Award), but the entire film cast as well. Not one flaw, to me, anywhere in this picture. I learned so much about a subject matter I knew little about. In addition, the religious aspect was shown beautifully, whether one may agree or disagree with that leaning. It was all respectfully represented. This film is so emotionally charged. Rachel McAdams is spectacularly good in this role. Her emotions and pain runs that gammet. Never once did I ever feel like I was watching an actor perform. She became Esti. No one could have done better in this role. Alejandro Nivola stunned as Dovid; What a splendid job he did. He excelled in this role. Then, Rachel Weisz. Not only is her performance perfect, this is her production companies first film. She optioned this and made it happen. I am so thankful to her for this. Sebastian Lelio as Director, gave this film the purity it needed to be so heartfelt. Without him, this would have been a very different film. If you are into smaller budget, beautifully done, Independent, heartfelt films. You may love this one, just as I do.

This is an interesting little indie drama with two really great roles from Rachel Weisz and Rachel McAdams!!

I thought this film was very unique and had a marvelous story. Two wonderful performances from the leading ladies.

An excellent movie and hits it home and love the cast

Excellent quality Blu-Ray DVD. Movie is one of the best I have ever seen. Indie film. First film from Rachel Weisz Production Company. All of the cast, the three main actors and all of the additional cast were amazing. I was enthralled. I learned quite a bit about a religion I knew nothing about, without ever feeling offput. The film is also 100% about emotion, subtleties of movement and expression, emotions, feeling. Watch all the looks, expressions, nuances. So well directed and portrayed. Beautiful.

It was very well acted but I found the pace of the movie to be very slow & the ending was not satisfying.
