Customers are saying

Customers value the engaging and challenging gameplay of Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition, citing its numerous quests, action, and replayability. However, some players find the inventory management system cumbersome and in need of improvement. The game's combat is praised for its strategic depth. Overall, the positive feedback on gameplay outweighs the concerns about inventory.

Best RPG for One or Two Players

Divinity: Original Sin uses the classic RPG format and combines it with a number of creative twists that keeps it interesting after 50+ hours into the adventure. The role of elements, and the interactions between them, become a central story arc as well as an essential part of strategic decision making during combat. Where Divinity really shines is when playing with a friend, the letter 'C' in this CRPG should stand for couch role-playing game. While playing the Enhanced edition on our Xbox One it has been super easy to add other players into the game, even after adventuring alone or with NPCs. Furthermore the interface for both players to be able to play and craft and even fight while the other player is off with their NPC companion doing something else is such a nice feature. A play session for us generally revolves around doing a dungeon crawl and then heading back to town to sell the loot and complete quests. What's great with Divinity is that each of us can go off and do our own thing in town, talk the shop keepers that sell class specific gear, and even dialogue with important NPCs. On the rare instance where an important story arc comes up then the other player is engaged in a mini-game if they don't agree. What keeps us coming back to play Divinity is that there is a lot to discover, and exploration is rewarded. Our only major critique is that there needs to be random encounters, like with a a group of rogues say in towns or pack animals in the wild, etc. The lack of such encounters does make the world feel less open world. Vendors change their wares every hour or when you level, so it does have a living breathing feel to it which is nice. If you are a player who likes a difficult strategic challenge then you can venture into higher level areas.

Depth and complexity seldom seen outside of a pc game await those brave enough to go outside the usual console rpgs. You'll find moral choices, intricate puzzles, turn based combat, and actually have to read the in game books to solve some quests. Definitely not for everyone, but a great choice.

When I purchased Divinity: Original Sin, I originally thought that it was a Diablo style game given the isometric perspective. What I did find though was a turn based combat game very similar to the Arc the Lad series, which was a very pleasant surprise. As I said, combat flows out by turns, during each turn you may move your units, cast spells, and attack enemies. The game has a good sense of humor and there is the option for cooperative play. I would recommend this game to anyone who is looking for a nice rpg or simply bored of the normal mishmash of yearly releases. Divinity: Original Sin, is an incredibly original game and deserves some attention.

A nice old school rpg. Lots of quests and action. I thought The leveling up system was so-so and the game tends to drag on at times. But overall an enjoyable game.

This game is a hidden gym. I did not hear much about this game and there was not a lot of hype. I guess it is a PC port, but runs well with a controller.

Can't get enough games that you can play co-op anymore. Especially split screen co-op. Nothing better than drinking some beers with one of your friends while you go slay some bad guys and collect loot.

Have you played Baulders Gate? Did you enjoy it? If you answered yes to both you should be playing this game! Great combat and strategy with a decent story. Supports both local and online coop, which makes for some interesting experiences.

This game is really fun with more than one person but it doesn't support coop on the same console. It's allot of fun with a group of people on separate systems. I would recommend this game.

While this game is a bit different than the play mechanics from the first few Divinity games, this is still an awesome game and it's awesome that it is on consoles.

This game may look like Diablo at first, but this game is more focused on the character development and story. This game does not hold your hand along the way, so it demands you pay attention as the story progresses. Expect to sink dozens of hours into this game before seeing the end of the campaign.
