I ordered one from Walmart, it was the C version and I had to return it. Ordered one from target, it was the C version, returned it. Finally decided to order one from Bestbuy before ordering directly from DJI. BAM, they sent me the latest, D version. All up to date software. And well packaged. Thank you Bestbuy for staying on top of your game. And I get a 45day return policy, and I can exchange it under 1 year warranty at Bestbuy and don't have to deal with DJI!!!!! Can't beat that. SUPER HAPPY. ONLY WISH THEY SOLD ACCESSORIES AND BATTERIES FOR IT!

Unit came damage free and boxed well. I did get an old stock series B model which didn't have the updated locking props.

DJI has been making top notch quadcopters for a while. The most popular is the Phantom (a bit too toy like for what I wanted) and when they released this Inspire !, I was sold; if it lived up the the claimed hype... AND IT HAS! This Quadcopter is simply amazing. In the world of $1,000 and below quad copters (a bit toy like; for photography people, I would consider these to be the point-and-shoot market), this is clearly heads and tails above in every regard (semi-professional setup, for photography people, I would consider this the 5DMkIII or the D750). It's flying characteristics is very steady and of high performance. The unit is built solidly with carbon fiber and high quality machined components. The remote control feels great in the hands and puts the buttons you need right where you would want them. The camera is very high quality and takes great videos and pretty decent photos if you know what you are doing. The gimbal, on which the camera is attached, works very well and smooths out any bumpy motion. Just an all around great performer in every regard. I have over 2 hours of flight time on mine (maybe 25 different flights so far) and it has been flawless with linking to GPS and doing what I expect it to do. Pros: -Performance that astounds (fly up to 50mpg at about any height, it is stable in strong winds when GPS linked, simply amazing) -Video capture capability amazing at 4k and pretty good photographs (12MP) -Light bridge downlink included (a $1300 part built in that gives you High Def FirstPersonVideo to the remote) -Full 360 degree camera rotation on gimbal (full X, Y, and Z movement; no other quad does this to date that I have seen) -Retractable landing gear (gets legs/props out of image) -Nice bright lights from about any distance to helps establish orientation -DJI Pilot app is very good (at least I think so) -Professional, high quality built (think of this as the Semi-Pro DSLRs, like Canon 5DmkIII or the Nikon D750) -Built in sensors to detect ground and ground movement (if GPS is lost or put to use when landing to auto lower legs and softly land) -Easy to fly, highly responsive, does what you think it will do Cons: -Price is a little out of reach for some people, THIS IS NOT A TOY! -Would recommend to someone who has flown R/C (this thing is too expensive to crash) and is comfortable with it, however in the DJI Pilot app there is a flight trainer that is pretty decent. -Can fly indoors, but would recommend some extra space or a very talented pilot since this is a big, powerful quadcopter

    Great but...

I upgraded from the DJI Phantom 2 vision plus to the Inspire 1. At first I was hesitant to buy such an expensive item that I have to call a hobby. I got it up in the air several times without problems. For some odd reason this drone has some kinks that really needs to be worked out. I was getting ready to take a photo when all of a sudden I notice the drone is doing a circle all by itself. I try to land it but I had little control over the drone. To make a long and very scary story my drone crashed into a tree. I will buy again but I will purchase after they really hone in on all of the issues. Do your research before you buy. I will have to put a no for recommending to a friend. Just because the technology isnt there yet.

Best Complete Pro Drone In The Market

I have purchased several drones in my life the DJI Inspire 1 is the best in the market. Just showing up and showing your client the Inspire closes the deal. Don't settle for a pro-sumer drone go all in with this transforming drone. It shoots in full 4K video, is super stable in flight, great distance with remotes and allows a second pilot / camera operator. If your looking to shoot professionally and don't have $20K to drop on a Red Epic Camera and DJI S1000+ this is the drone for you.
