I am hoping to get into filmmaking and videography. However, I didn't want to spend top dollar on a high end drone that I'd have a high probability of crashing. Pros: Mavic Mini has been excellent to learn on. It has long battery life and has excellent video quality for your buck. Its small size also makes it easy to carry around + at 249 grams it doesn't have to be registered with the FAA. I've had a lot of fun practicing shots for real estate videos. I think this is a great drone for social media or gone video...but really could be used by pros if they are not delivering to a super high resolution screen. Cons: *DO NOT fly the Mini in "Sport " mode at a high altitude or high winds . The motors will overwork and cut out and you can easily crash unless you are able to lower altitude quickly. Ppl complain this is a design error but its most likely unavoidable with a drone this small...i don't think its a firmware fix ...more likely next hardware fix. Basically...have realistic expectations when you fly and don't push it. * 4K would have been nice...but they don't want to cannibalize Mavic Air. * I really wish DJI would have included more manual exposure controls in video...you can't really change ISO or Shutter speed.In theory you are by adjusting EV. However...its lame that those controls cone back for photo mode. Overall Impressions: If I could do this all over again, I would still definitely buy this drone . My complaints are more minor. I've gotten surprising image quality and close to 30 minutes of flight per battery. If anything , purchasing Mavic Mini has made me want to save up to purchase a bigger DJI drone next year.

This is my first drone. It has many professional features but it’s easy to learn how to fly it. The price is right for the features you get! When you are ready for something more professional, with all the bells and whistle‘s, and you have the money, then you move up. You will enjoy this drone!

This is my first drone, and I love it. Many great features and the video content is great at 2.7k resolution. Definitely the best entry level drone and since it’s from dji you can get dji care and fly it without worries and get replacements if any accidents happen. Highly recommended!

Great drone for beginners who want to just fly and take photos and video. The app has the basics you require to fly and is user friendly. Designed in weight so you do not need to register this drone, however, you still need to folllow the basic rules of flying drones. Enjoy and Fly Safe.

I highly recommend this for people who are looking to get into drones. Standard knock is that it only shoots 2.7 K and you can't change any of the presets in video mode. That being said, it is excellent value. Easy to fly. Be aware that you can't fly this if you're anywhere near an airport.

This Mavic Mini is so easy and fun to fly I can't say enough good things about it. Follow the instructions and you will be impressed with how easy it is to get in the air in controlled flight. I have been around radio control for over forty years and this is the easiest, most fun yet.

I bought one drone months ago and was so hard to learn how to fly it. I end up having to climb a tree to get the drone back because I could find any instructions clearly. Mavic mini is really good for beginners and you can find a lot of videos with instructions on YouTube.

Looked at many reviews across many different drones in similar price range. This drone came up again and again as best beginner's drone. All true. Easy to start up, very stable and great pictures and video . Only thing that would have been nice is a follow me tracker.

A Christmas gift for my husband. He LOVES this drone. There was a small learning curve, but he has done very well using this drone. The video footage is crisp and clear. Overall he has added great value to his YouTube videos with this drone.

I bought this drone at the beginning of summer as a way to pass time outdoors without being in contact with anybody and I can honestly say it's saved my sanity for the summer. On top of that I also love the fact that Mavericks are so easy to fly

I have thoroughly loved this drone! I tend to get almost an hour of flight time per session using the 3 batteries. The distance and height I can explore is limited due to a regional airports vicinity but that doesn’t stop me from having a lot of fun.

We bought this drone mainly for picture and video taking during our vacation and it’s been working great as intended. Crashed it a couple of times already but it still works! If you are a noob like me and don’t want to register, his is the drone for you!

I love DJI, and once again they didn’t disappoint. Prbly best drone you can buy for the price, very impressive! I’d recommend to get the combo since 3 batteries is very worth it, plus some replacement propellers and propeller guards for those who are just starting to fly

Love the new Mini. I live near a local airport and can’t fly my Pro, I can’t even take off inside my home. But with my Mavic Mini I can fly indoors and out! Under 1lb and doesn’t have to register in the FAA...yeah you read right so go out and get your Mavic Mini!

I feel a lot of people do not do their research when they buy their first drones. This is by far my first. You need to know all the appropriate local laws and rules even in a sub 250g drone. The other thing is to understand this drone uses 5.8 g which will not penetrate solid objects so you must maintain line of sight. I was able to fly this 2000 ft away in a downtown park around lots of interference without a problem. You just need line of sight. Make sure to inspect the props before flight and check your weather both at sea level and at any altitudes you plan to fly. Always fly in the direction of the wind or account for it when calculating battery life. The drone gives you a rough idea but it cant be accurate it does not know the conditions its flying in. Be smart and youll enjoy many flights and every model pilot knows dont fly what you cant afford to loose.

Incredible drone for the size and the price. The fly more combo is definitely worth the extra money since it adds an additional 2 batteries and propeller guards that are essential if you plan to fly this drone indoors. Great quality and a durable drone!

if u looking for a drink n its ur first time flying one dont look further more the dji mavic mini its grate for starters!! Its easy to control eeh good quality ill rate it from 1-10 ill give it a 6.5 n it doesn't go crazy with the wind ill stay steady

This drone takes beautiful shots and great panoramic videos! It stabilizes itself really well and is very robust. The video and image capabilities are pretty good and I highly recommend anyone who is interested in exploring drone film making get this!
