This is my first drone read lots of review before buying and did some comparison with other drones and by far this drone is great , small and compact but is well built ,pack with an abundance of awesome features my first flight was a breeze use up all 3 of my batteries the 4K camera shoots great pictures and video great for traveling highly recommend this drone

I received my Mavic Pro drone approximately a month ago. It is an amazing piece of technology. It has so may safety features that makes it a perfect device for a novice pilot. So far I have used it on a limited fashion around my neighborhood, but feel confident that it will respond to major challenges when I take it to other places. It is very straightforward to control, the remote is super-intuitive and the iPhone app works nicely. There are frequent updates to the app, so make sure you have the most recent one to avoid issues with the communication of the remote with the aircraft. It does not have rear sensors, and that is possibly the only thing I would regret not having since it would add a lot more safety when flying backwards. Also lateral sensors might be useful for obstacle avoidance sideways. The camera is extraordinary. I can see so much detail and rich colors when playing the videos from the microSD card. Just like you see on YouTube pros. The video feeds recorded on the iPhone are clear, but not as stunning as the ones from the card. The camera is very stable and gimbal moves up and down by the remote, but cannot god lateral views. This movement can only be achieved by rotating the aircraft itself through the remote. However, since the gimbal is very stable, those lateral movement views are very smooth as well. Overall I would strongly recommend to anyone considering a drone. DJI is the company that has more experience and possibly investment in the business, and they are trying hard to become a reliable player in the market. The product packing is similar to Apple products, which gives a great first impression when initially receiving and unpacking the drone.

Pros: ultra portable - fits in a large pocket, easy carry-on small and compact - folds up like a turtle Great image quality - 4k resolution! Frequent updates - there were updates every 2 weeks (for me) Idiot proof design and interface - never flew a drone, let alone own one Cons: Lens very prone to flaring - must purchase lens filters to over come this Short battery life - buy more batteries for $89 each. It charges in about 70 minutes with included charger, and about 45 minutes with the car adapter. Tips: -please make sure you check and update your firmware prior to leaving the house, otherwise you'll be wasting the mavic's and control's batteries and wasting time on updating. -store the LiPo batteries half full/empty to extend battery longevity -one full 27 min flight consumes roughly 8gb 4k video. Because the limiting factor is battery life, it's best to use multiple, smaller sized memory card to freqently save and protect your recordings due to the risk to flying (esp over water)

If you're in the market for a "prosumer" drone, look no further. This is my 3rd DJI drone. I started with the Phantom 3 advanced, and when went with the Phantom 4 when it was released. Once the Mavic was released I had to have it but held off for a couple of reasons. First it was very hard to get since it had such high demand. Second I thought I could get by with the P4 since it had basically the same specs. I soon learned that it was quite inconvenient to lug the rather large P4 around and when I wanted to use it, I never had it. I finally saw that it was in stock at Best Buy and listed my P4 for sale for a good price. I almost immediately sold it and literally took the cash I made from the P4 and used it to pay for my Mavic. I'm so glad it did. I can talk it anywhere and and it takes up almost no room. It has more features as the P4 and just works. Get a larger memory card if you want to take any 4k video. It's great to get amazing shots from angles not possible otherwise! I'm taking this to Colorado this summer to take pictures in the mountains. I had always wanted a drone for years. I tried various cheap ones and wrecked them all within a week. After doing a lot of research and watching numerous YouTube videos, I decided on this one because of its smart functions. I was skeptical with the price and everyone thought I was crazy for spending that amount on a drone. But let me promise you it's WELL worth it. This thing is incredible. Amazing video footage, very easy to understand and use. compact, durable (as I've had a few minor crashes). One thing I will recommend you buy if you plan on getting this drone is the insurance plan from DJI, DJI Care Refresh. As this protects you against At Fault crashes water damage, pretty much anything. You send it in and they give you a brand new drone. Up to 2 for the first year. I have used once already. Alot better than shelling out another $800+ because of a novice accident. There are too many accessories, options, and things that this drone is capable of to list here, as I could talk about this thing all day, I bring it everywhere with me now. Do your own research and remember its not a toy! Also for anyone wondering I've been able to get out over 3 miles with this thing before having to turn around and come home to conserve battery. DJI products are top of the line and I highly recommend it to anyone that wants a drone. GO BIG OR GO HOME! Get the Fly More Combo Pack!

Priced matched this item and picked it up from Best Buy. I get around 30 minutes of flight time on regular mode and about 20 minutes on sport mode. Easy to set up and use. The drone guy at Best Buy is really helpful and helped answer all my questions and concerns since he had the same model. Super portable as well. I traveled to couple countries with this drone and it fits in the carrying case and I didn’t have any major issues at the airport. Just be upfront that you have drone batteries on you before getting on security check line.

This is a fantastic drone for a fantastic price. My BestBuy sales staff did a great job helping me with this purchase. They (Carrie and Josh) both had one and educated me on the features and how it worked. The camera quality is out of this world and it is very simple to operate. I could not be more pleased with this Drone or the fantastic help and assisted I received from Carrie and Josh at the Best Buy store in Bradley, IL. Great job!!!

I had a Phantom 3 standard before I purchase the Mavic Pro. The Mavic blows away the Phantom in all aspects from height, distance, camera quality, etc. Still very easy for a beginner and works just fine for a veteran. The controls are similar to all other DJI products but has way more options, adjustments, etc. I have never had an issue during flight (about 20 hours). The only thing that stopped me from purchasing it sooner was the price. Now that I own it I wish I would have bought it sooner!

Pros: This drone is incredibly easy to fly. It's small form factor makes including this drone on everyday trips a reality. The gimbal produces steady video even in windy conditions. Battery life is very close to advertised time, considering ambient conditions. Price point is excellent considering similarly equipped units. The controller is thoughtfully laid out and integrates FPV phone attachment well. All of the components are well constructed and feel high end. Software is full of features and advanced settings. No problems running DJI app on android devices. Cons: Most people fly without the gimbal shield on to reduce glare. The gimbal mechanism is inherently fragile so a 3rd party glare guide is recommended. The DJI ND filters are difficult to install and store because of their relative size. 3rd party filters are larger and more robust however, can increase strain on gimbal motors.

I've been following this Drone since it was announced last year so I was excited to see the fly more package offered online. I had it setup in just a few minutes but did have a little difficulty upgrading the firmware. This was more an issue with my home WiFi than the DJI application (updating over 4G LTE was quick and painless once I disconnected from my WiFi). The drone is intuitive and easy to fly and takes amazing video (just remember to tap-to-focus). It's extremely nimble and very quiet once you get it up. I took this on my trip to Mexico after having it for only one day and there was another guest who had the larger DJI Phantom 4 (also a great drone). His was very noisy compared to mine and few people even looked up while I was flying mine around. No problems at the airport with TSA (they did do a hand search of the bag and swabbed the battery packs for explosive residue - no complaints based on the state of the world today) but this was expected. Easily fit under my seat on the plane and in the car to and from the airport. I don't know how I could have managed with one of the larger drones on the market. Phenomenal product!

I did a lot of research on this, the Spark and the Phantom before I purchased this for my husband for Christmas, and I thought the Mavic Pro offered the best combination of features and portability. He opened it yesterday and is thrilled. He took it out to a mountain road to test it out and is extremely impressed by it, and in particular by the quality of the picture and the stability of the video. We did sign up for the DJI Care Refresh program after we opened the box.

I did weeks and weeks of research before I purchased this sUAS. This is an absolutely amazing piece of technology. It is very easy to fly. The photos and video it takes are top notch. It flies very far and the battery life is unbelievable. VERY VERY HAPPY. If you really want a drone, this is an excellent choice!

I was trying to decide between the Phantom 4 Pro and the Mavic Pro. As someone who travels very frequently, I found the Mavic to be perfect! Extremely portable and lightweight. I was able to take it on many flights as my personal item. I haven't been stopped so far on 5 different flights. The video and photo quality is excellent. For me, the Mavic Pro is the perfect mix of quality and portability. Definitely glad with my purchase.

Set up was simple - flying is easy. Fun to take pics. Very stable even when breezy out. Love the size!

My first drone. Love it. It’s easy to set up and fly. The camera and viewing experience is excellent. I can’t wait to add some options like goggles to further enhance the interaction. It’s my first drone, so hard to compare. But, I do enjoy it and it’s a good value. I was going to order the Platinum, but got a good price though Best Buy on the Mavic Pro. Orderd the new props and does make a difference (lower) sound signature.
