I had the drone for 11 days. Nothing but software issues. I spent hours every evening researching the problems. Had to return it.

This drone is a great successor to the Mavic Pro. It was strange at first to find it only had a few minor changes but when I actually have the two next to each other I can tell which one is more silent. This is great when you have to fly on the beach or near residential areas and want to try as hard as possible to avoid prying eyes.

Flys great, camera work really good when setup correctly. Only issue is the DJI app crashes alot. I lost signal and the RTH feature brought it right back to me.

I've been an avid drone flyer for well over 5 years. Some of my friends have owned the REGULAR Mavic pro to which I've had the pleasure of spending hours flying theirs! When the mavic pro platinum fly more combo came out, The improved specs is what catapulted me to make the purchase of the new model! Unfortunately the new product was a let down due to issues with the gimbal. The footage I had shot & reviewed had came back to me with a "jello" effect for both photo and video. The motors never "stabilized" the footage, causing this issue, and the content I shot was garbage. I had recalibrated everything several time. From the IMU's, to the gimbal, to the firm ware, and lastly to the app, only to find that the new mavic pro platinum is deemed defective. (I even used another operating device with app to test it out) I let best buy know right away of what was happening, and because it was still in the good return time frame window, they are overnighting me a new unit with out any further questions. Well done Best Buy. The replacement is coming from Best Buy tomorrow 1/5/2017 I will report back with my findings on the new unit!
