This is a great travel camera that I wasn’t too sure about initially. I like how it is pocketable and very compact. Easy to use and starts up fast. The camera quality isn’t much better than a iPhone XS. Low light is just decent with a lot of noise when played back on a larger display. Stabilization is awesome and has very little visible shake....even when recording on a bumpy rollercoaster. My biggest grip is the short distance focus length. You need to be back a little from your subject or things become a little blurry.

I have only used it on one shoot so far but I was impressed. What I have seen from the job looks great. The thing I do not understand...why not make it SLIGHTLY bigger so you can have a 16:9 monitor on it vs the square that is there? (that monitor is TINY fyi) That said, works well with the iphone attached and used as your monitor. Didn't walk much with it, but pans and follows with just hand/arm movement were nice and smooth. Obviously I need to use it more to be able to give a more detailed review but I like it so far.

Was really attracted to this for recording video, but once you buy the expansion kit you are already $500 in after tax. I ended up returning for a much more expensive and larger setup of Sony A7iii and Ronin-S gimbal with Tamron lens. Couldn’t be happier with the low light capability of my current setup, as this is one place this camera lacks. I did experiment with it in broad daylight several days and footage was very good. Overall, without the accessories included, it’s just getting too expensive for what it is.

This gimbal is awesome. It is so compact that it can fit into your pocket. I love its small factor. You can walk around and capture great looking video without everyone staring at you. The video quality is fantastic. My only regret is that it does not come with any accessories. You have to purchase them separately. Luckily there are third party vendors making great accessories for this little camera.

I have been a fan of DJI from a long time and have owned a phantom 3 and spark.. my expectation was very high with this device. I picked up the device before leaving for my 3 weeks trip to Qatar and India in december 2018. I am not a pro videographer but enjoy taking and making films of my family vacations. Having said that here are the points I enjoyed vs. the ones I didn't. And finally deciding to return the device because at times I faced some issues which I don't think can be fixed by firmware only updates. Enjoyed the - -- Size - The size of this device is amazing. Very easy to carry and charge on the go. -- Various Video Modes - Tried all the video modes and enjoyed the 4k and motionlapse the most. Thumbs up to DJI for the motionlapse. -- presence of small screen in the device. Helps a lot when you are almost out of battery in your mobile phone. -- Stability. Which is why this device is primarily built and has capabilities to let people use this device over the mobile phone camera. -- panorama modes for pictures Didn't enjoy the - -- Inability to access pro mode without cell phone. This is a pain. Why? Think about a tourist visiting 10 different places in a day and vlogging in different light conditions in each of the place. It is time consuming and painful to change the settings each time by connecting the phone to the device. It sacrifices the "ease of use" tag attached to this device. -- Focus hunting or whatever terminology you use to define it is a BIG bug. My lot of videos of my Son were spoiled because of the inability of the device to keep the object in focus while tracking. -- Still pictures. The pictures taken with this device are not better than latest iphones which have varous portrait modes and depth sense.I know this is for video only but having the capability to take better pictures will be a plus. -- lack of tripod mount. This again can be solved with an attachment but buying attachment removes the sense of ease that comes with carrying this small integrated product. -- Low light vidoes. It is comparable to iphone 6 plus. not much information captured in low light. -- memory card slot. I have to carry a small pin to push the memory card in and out at times when needed. If you have nails big enough it might not be an issue. -- Inability to connect to a iphone with case. While traveling it becomes a pain. SO I ultimately decided to travel without iphone case.but design wise, this I think can be improved atleast for cases which are small in size. I think overall DJI did a good job as a first version of this device but I would rather wait till the next version with a better sensor comes out.

Osmo pocket is one of those camera in a 3-axis gimbal. Missing 4th axis but can be added. Lightweight with lots of quality features. 4k @ 25, 30, 60 fps. 120 fps@1080. What can you ask for? Buy from here or other retailers. Don’t buy direstly from DJI store for now. My order came after 2 days! My DJI Store order still in transit since June 23rd.

I bought this to help document travel videos and as a cheaper method to deliver real estate videos. I tested it out recently on a photo shoot for a client and I have to say it didn’t disappoint. My only gripe would be that the camera can’t zoom in or out and I would’ve liked the ability to zoom out a bit. It gives great, smooth shots and can shoot 4K at 60fps! You can’t ask for a better deal. I would definitely recommend this. Check out my video here: https://youtu.be/43WUF0NXQsU

Excellent camera. I wanted something with above average stabilization and this has that. The accessories bundle that is sold separately is very useful too. It would be nice if it was included, as it’s another hundred dollars to buy. Just bought it prior to the Osmo Pocket 2 being released. Kind of irritated me.

Plus: Great stabilizer, Amazing sound record!, very compact, great interface, very easy to operate! Negative: Video quality far from 4K, doesn’t work well with iPhone (can transfer pics, but can not transfer videos directly from camera to phone - not available yet), can not use below 0 C (below 32 F - see manual). Nice product for walking tourists. Waiting for upgraded OSMO pocket that will have better video quality and ability to transfer video to iPhone directly.

Ok so the video quality is amazing but that's where it stops. It is very small so it is hard to use if your hands are mid to large. The screen is to small so controlling the gimbal is very difficult. The charge port is on the bottom so you can’t stand it up if plugged in. Oh and the active tracking only works in 1080p and not 4K video quality. It also works just ok if what you are tracking is moving slowish. Ski it keep following the trees and lifts when the ski go more than 10ft away. If u upgrade to the wheel, it only adjust the up down of camera gimble w a very very very small switch the changes it to left right movement?!? Why not make it control all movement like the really small screen does. Also the Bluetooth is very laggy. Takes a good 20sec to connect and disconnects very easy. It also take for ever to transfer the videos you take to the phone you have connected during which it times out and you have to open it back up over and over. All in all it is great video but I would wait for a Gen 2 to come out w hopefully all this addressed.

It is easier to use than I imagined. I brought this to family ski and it worked well. Videos turned out with great quality. The only dissatisfaction is the auto track function loses track pretty easily. Too far, too close, crosses a tree then loses track. It’s easy to control too. One click changing from picture mode to video mode. Overall we like it very much

WOW... what a camera! It's actually so much more than that. Great video, tons of features, the gimble is awesome, and the picture quality is as good as any other camera I've used. I have never used anything like this before, but glad I took the leap. It's been an awesome experience!

I use this mostly for Panoramic shots ... either 180 degree flats or "bowl" panos. Videos are also great. The best camera you own is the one you have with you and this is eminently portable. I do wish I could "batch" the pano stitching process which must be done "manually" in the free, downloadable DJI software.

I’ve been a photographer for 15 years and last year I made the leap to aerial footage with drones. My video work has increased so I needed something mobile that would help me with ground footage. The Osmo Pocket has delivered exactly what I needed as a first step before I upgrade to bigger and more expensive tools.
