Ordered in store and picked up a week later. Drone box wasn't damaged or anything like that from the trip. The white box was more or less grey due from the dust. Thing must have been sitting for a while but I won't mark down Bestbuy. I don't expect them to wipe down dusty boxes lol. Out of the box it can be a bit intimidating especially because the firmware updates could be easier or at least explained better instead of resorting to DJI's website for basically all your knowledge. The manuals that come with the drone in the box barely explain anything. After you get over that hurdle though the drone is a ton of fun. If you've never flown anything remote control before like myself your first flight can be a bit of a nervous one but it doesn't have to be. The DJI Go App is really nice and eases you into taking full advantage of your drone in no time. Just take your time and learn as much as you can before you try pushing it. Flight is really really stable even in light breezes and the picture and video quality is pretty amazing for what the camera really is. Battery life could be better. I get around 20-22 minutes depending on how vigorous I'm flying. The charger that comes with the Advanced version is rated at almost half the wattage of the Professional charger which does drastically change the charging time. From around 10-20% to full charge it takes the Advanced charger around 45 minutes to an hour. Luckily they sell the advanced charger separately. Granted that another thing you have to buy if you want to cut your charge times pretty much in half. And the extra batteries are a touch on the pricey side. I still got one and couldn't be happier with about 40-45 minutes of total flight time. But with that additional flight time the hilariously small 16gb MicroSD card they give you can become a bother when you record video at the max 2.7K resolution. Even with the negatives I still give this 5 stars just based on the (at the time I purchased) massive price difference between the Advanced and the Professional. Over 400$ price difference and all for the ability to shoot 4K videos. Now that they are only separated by 200$ the choice can become a bit tougher but I think the 300$ difference between the Advanced and the Standard is really justified. The Lightbridge technology inside the controller drastically improves the range and video quality while at the extreme range and the sonic and optical downward facing sensors really do make it way more stable closer to the ground. My friend had a Standard which made me want to purchase one of these and after doing the research settled on the Advanced and the difference between the flying characteristics between the Standard and the Advanced and the controller is night and day. If you're on a budget and don't need extreme 1+ mile range and the controller with more buttons and the extra sensors that help when there's no GPS or you're close to the ground then the Standard is the right drone for you. If you're still on a budget but need to shoot 4K and don't care for the 1+ mile range or the extra sensors but want the nicer controller then the Phantom 3 4K is the right drone for you. If you want the extended range and the nicer controller but don't care about 4K quite yet then the Advanced is the right drone for you. If you have to have 4K video capability and you want the extended range then the Professional is the one for you.

i got it for my husband birthday gift and he love it. it runs perfect and the camera its not bad so i really recommend this product

Had a "fly-A-Way of my DJI Standard. Spent 3 weeks looking for it. On a Turdasy went to Best Buy and bought a replacement drone. This time I went with the DJI Advanced model do to the camera. The following day (Friday) was flying the new drone and spotted the lost drone from the air. Now I have 2 and the lost one works just fine (had to dry it out some). Review: The DJI Advanced fly's well. I like the hover picture snap as it tries to come back to the very same spot when the RTH (Return To Home) feature is in use. This is not a 7 year old kids toy. It is a sophisticated flying tool that take gorgeous photos and videos. The Advanced fly's farther, higher, and faster than the standard and uses a little different video link system for the remote. I fly with the camera on 2.5 mode rather than a higher mode and use a high speed Scan Disk 64 gig card in it. Flying takes some practice so don't get all carried away on your first 4 - 6 flights. I also highly recommend you put a GPS tracking device on it. I use Trackimo, but any small one should work fine. It really helps if the drone flays away or comes down out of sight.

This turned out to be the perfect gift for our son who really had nothing on his list. He was thrilled to have something to "play with" that wasn't for kids. He's learning a lot and having fun at the same time.

I've never owned a drone, and after much extensive reviews and video research I made my decision on the dji phantom 3 advanced. This is easy to fly and maneuver.

This flying camera was super convenient in our recent trip. Was able to take excellent videos from a reasonable height. Happy with purchase.

Purchasing the P3A was the best thing ever. I was able go caprure amazing aerial shots that couldn't not have taken with any other camera.

Very nice quad. The only thing that was a little confusing was how to update the firmware. Once you update the firmware you need to disconnect it from the computer for it to take effect. That isnt stated in the directions.

Dji is the king of drone right now and you can't go wrong with DJI. Solid quadcopter and really easy to use for beginners.

I Have owned this drone for 1 year and it fly fantastic. Not problems at all. Very satisfied with the phantom 3 advance.

An excellent quad copter to purchase. I completely understand why the DJI phantom is so popular now!
