the DJI Standard was really discounted at Best Buy so having always wanted one I sprang for it for myself and another as a gift. Certainly not disappointed. Really improved from last years drones being easy setup and easy to fly. Get a FAA license friends and fly responsibly

This is the 1st Flying machine I have ever used. It is so powerful, smart and intuitive that it basically flies itself. From reading other reviews was so worried about landing it, but it so easy to land softly. Take offs are automatic. Best feature for a novice is auto hover. If you get confused what you're doing, or where you're going, just let go of the sticks and it just stops and hovers in place. I've had 25 successful flights, up to 300 ft high, 25 mph, over my backyard with thousands of trees, and never crashed it. It is undescribably fun to fly, and you will not regret the purchase. Dji has so many instruction videos and so much online support, they make it essy and fun to learn.

If you are new to the drone/ quadcopter world than tis is for you. It is really only good for video and pictures that you would be taking close to base. If you want to venture off and explore, than you can't.

Excellent entry level Drone. DJI produces superior quality products, which are better than expected. "Turn Key" right out of the box. Recommended to read instructions and watch available videos. The videos were extremely helpful and are detailed for all to understand. Easy to fly and understand controls. Would like to be able to afford the Inspire 1 Pro.

We purchased this for my teenage son for Christmas and he loves it! Excellent for the beginner with all the bells and whistles needed to take great pictures and video. He says he is amazed at the height it will fly. Great drone for the money.

I'm new to the hobby, and this drone is perfect for beginners. Quick, easy, and a lot of fun. Definitely worth investing in.

My husband loves this! It is a great starter drone.. nice enough to have great features, but not so nice you are afraid to play with it. Picture quality is fantastic - the biggest disappointment was battery life (sure glad we got an extra!!). As far as we can see cannot get an OEM UV filter for the standard unit which is unfortunate as I would have bought that too. Also would be nice to have a night time add on that provides more light to see what's nearby (to avoid crashes). DJI does offer a warranty, but must be taken within 48 hours of activation.

This drone does everything it says. It's easy to fly, the pivtures and video are great. It is very stable, and can fly in some pretty stout wind.

Great starter drone, video quality is excellent, unless you just have to have 4K. It is pretty easy to fly, and range is adequate for me.

I purchased this for my husband for Christmas even though he did not want me to. Bottom line is he loves it and the camera takes great pictures.

I got a cheaper drone for Christmas but I traded it for this model after some research. I love the way it flys and the video is clean and very stable. It's sometimes hard to get into flight mode for various reasons e.g. Compass calibration,signal interference, weak gps, cold battery etc. Once it's in the air it does quite well. I just did a firmware update however and nothing works right anymore so I just sent it back to the factory for service. They have been accommodating so far. Fingers crossed I get it back soon and start flying again.

Wasn't sure what to get my fiancé for Xmas, but this turned out to be the best gift. He enjoys flying it just for fun, even if there's nothing going on. If you're not a professional photographer the standard choice is perfect for you!!

Bought this a month ago and love it.. Used to have a little one that did stunts and camera but no longer flys so I went with this. I love this Drone, I never flew any other dji products and read alot of poor reviews on this and I have not a clue why its talked down so much. Takes great pictures/videos day/night. Flys pretty far without problem, never tried to max out yet but the few blocks ive flown away its crazy! I'd highly recommend for a beginner/on a budget this drone is awesome and i'm sure you wont be disappointed

We love this drone great picture and video quality. Easy to maneuver if you plan on flying in a neighborhood signal can be iffy with all the WiFi frequencies but other then that we love it for the price great toy

My husband loves the phantom 3 standard version. It's easy to fly and control. With the beginner level, it's almost impossible to crash. We definitely recommend this drone.

I had purchased a view other drones that were less expensive before buying this one. Finally pulled the trigger on this guy. Should have just started with a DJI Phantom. Drone is super easy to learn. Has a beginners ,ode to help. Camera takes beautiful photos. Videos, although not 4K, are still great looking quality. I would buy this for the hobbyist that is getting in to drones and wont break the bank.

This is an entry level drone, but it is quite nice. You need an android or iPhone to use with it as the screen. The range on it is reasonable. You get about 22 minutes of runtime per battery, so you may want to invest in additional batteries. It takes a bit of practice to learn to fly it properly, I highly recommend taking a class. But it does take beautiful HD video - the main reason you would want to buy this model. The more expensive models will do 4K video and have greater range.

This is such an incredible product and so much fun to play with. Easy to operate and get up to speed on. Definitely recommended!

Great drone if you want something of a professional grade in materials and control and camera quality but it is noticible the features your missing out on with the higher end versions, better to save for advanced
