Great UAV overall. Good price for the value. Takes great video and photos. Easy to fly. Great features like GPS, RTH, Follow Me, etc. The only downside I noticed on this was the range which let's you fly about 500 feet distance, which is not bad especially for beginners. I've seen range extenders online and remote control mods that can be done to extend the range as well.

This drone was easy to use out of the box. The video quality was excellent for the drone's price point.

I started with a smaller U818A FPV drone which was an excellent drone to learn controls with. When I stepped to the DJI Phantom 3, I was not concerned about range or 4k as I was about getting used to longer flying times, distance, height, and function. This DHI Phantom 3 is indeed a professional drone in flight performance, but allows for beginners to limit their flight distance, use to go home feature, etc...My previous drone had no such features and one did fly off on its own...the DJI has enough intelligence to safeguard you ensuring it will come home in most circumstances, yet you have the ability to turn those features off when comfortable and get into more advanced flight. I have made and edited several videos and although not 4k, the quality was outstanding..most people I know don't have 4k monitors or tv's anyway. At under $500 (I paid $375) on sale) this is an amazing entry level drone that can earn you money or just be fun.

Until I purchased my first DJI I wasn't sold on spending so much on a drone BUT now that I have it I wouldn't waist my money on anything other than a DJI. This truly is amazing as far as flight ability, video's & pictures... I only went for the standard version so I couldn't even imagine how much better the Professional would be.... WORTH EVERY PENNY

This is a great drone that has many features that will meet the needs of most users. It has a camera that takes very good video and still pictures. It's not at the professional level (i.e. 4K) but for fun casual uses, the camera capabilities are more than enough. The drone control and range are super. I left my kids (9 and 11 years) use them at the local park, and they were able to fly the drone well enough in open spaces to have a great time. It's range is fairly good for my level of interest. If you feel you need longer range, then this may be the only reason I would upgrade to the higher models. For now, I doubt I would need a three mile range. I gave it four stars for initial setup issues linking with my phone (needed a hard reset for the unit to connect correctly), lack of an iPad holder, and lack of sound recording. Not a game changer but having sound would be nice.

I like the flight time. It flies high up and the GPS function is really useful

Need to check your roof, gutters, or fly a route to help someone find their way to your house? Does it all and brilliantly. I have virtually not complaints. Flew two flights today, everything works as expected. ALWAYS calibrate compass before each first flight that day, even if the same place as before. Also, ALWAYS set RTH (Return to Home) altitude higher than the highest obstacle you can think of where its programmed to land. ALWAYS begin your return home when battery warning starts. ALWAYS go easy on the landing-- meaning descend VERY slowly. Enjoy and take good care of this machine. Its not a toy.
