The DJI mini, 3 series I believe is the one I own. Where do I start? ITS AMAZING! It’s literally everything I imagined it to be. The DJI mini made my production company double in value, overall a very great product and not to mention makes the job a lot easier.

Got it a few weeks back and couldnt be happier. The set up process and balancing is a bit tough to learn at first since its not really included in the instructions. (Youtube university FTW). But the shining feature for me was being able to connect my PS5 controller to it ans use it from a distance. Actually blew me away when i realized what i could do with it. Was helping my wife stream, and i could sit in the other room and control the camera for her dynamically.

I don't doubt that, as gimbals go, this one's of high quality, but it's been artificially stunted to force you to install software on your phone (side-loading it if you're an Android user), sign up to an online account with personal credentials, and agree to T&C's.
There's no excuse for this: the thing's a glorified camera stand. It shouldn't require an internet connection, nor my signup, any more than my washer dryer does. That thing has online capability, but it doesn't force me to install software, disclose private information, or refuse to wash clothes if I haven't done so within five uses. But with this gimbal, five uses is all you get before it locks you out and forces acquiescence. Forget that you paid for this thing: *you are not allowed to*.
When challenged why this is necessary for their gimbals, DJI hides behind deliberately vague language about needing to "maximize the usage" and "to be able to use it properly". It's not credible. The company's up to no good here, and I'm particularly upset that it isn't both listed on the Best Buy page and the product packaging that their unreasonable, and, frankly, nefarious demands aren't published. Returned it next day.
