The DJI RS3 Mini is a phenomenal gimbal for creators who need professional-level stabilization in a travel-friendly size. It’s ideal for weddings, events, travel films, social media content, and YouTube. For mirrorless shooters, it’s arguably the best lightweight gimbal currently available. While it lacks some of the premium features of the RS3 and RS3 Pro, the RS3 Mini nails what it’s designed for: efficiency, simplicity, and portability without compromising on quality.

Good little gimbal but it is seriously limited in camera/lens compatibility. I use a large camera (Canon R5) so I expected limitations but it turns out, a larger camera helps. The biggest limitation is pitch balance. I can only use lightweight plastic prime lenses and keep the gimbal in balance. If I put a heavier fast or zoom lens on the camera, I can't slide the camera body back enough to keep it in balance. You can see in the picture that my camera is adjusted as far back as it can and is barely in balance. Unfortunately, the ARCA Swiss mount has a safety function that prevents using a standard long plate to allow me to slide the camera back. I'm waiting for Smallrig or another company to make a compatible adjustable plate. And no, any non-mini Ronin mounts work on this, they use Manfrotto-type plates. Problems aside, this little gimbal does have its place. It is a small package that is easy to take in a backpack, just be careful since it doesn't come with a case. It has all the functions of larger Ronin Gimbals like timelapse, POV, Spin shot, and PTF. I was able to pair the camera to the gimbal via Bluetooth so the record button activates the camera shutter. The phone app is really useful...as long as your phone is awake and using the app. Make sure your phone is charged up if you want to use any of the app-controlled features like timelapse. Who is this for? Amateur photographers that want to take better short-format clips on the go. You will step up your Reels or TikTok anywhere you want to go due to its small size. Any pro-level lens/camera setup will be a challenge to balance. Pair this with compact XH2 and a pancake 27mm would work great.

absolutely love the stability. it’s easy to use & something every videographer should invest in especially for the price. battery lasts long & when I used it at a convention I kept getting stopped and complimented. I plan on getting the drone to add to my collection!

If this is your first time using a gimbal and you think it’s not working, Remember you have to actually manually balance your camera before the gimbal can do its job. Once you learn how to balance your camera manually, the gimbal will do the rest! This gimbal is my personal favorite and works wonders. I hope you too can enjoy your gimbal! Worth the purchase! I make real estate videos and I can’t do it without my gimbal!

Probably the best small gimbal out there. This does not have the auto-lock feature that the RS 3 and RS 3 Pro have, but this does manually lock on all axes. Not a deal breaker. This does have the ability to hold a full-frame mirrorless camera and nice sized lens. The bluetooth remote control as opposed to using a cable is a game-changer- It is a quality of life improvement! Not heavy at all and you can add a handle with the naito mount. Powerful enough not to stutter but yet still portable enough to take with you everywhere.

The RS 3 Mini 3-Axis Gimbal Stabilizer is great for videography.i helped me become a better videographer because before i didn’t by the product i was struggle to take good videos because my hands was able to really be able to stabilize the camera so i decided to look up better ways to handle the camera and i came across the stabilizer.it’s great for video.its doesn't weigh much and it’s pretty great for my hands.

Heard a lot of bad stuff with this gimbal. But I have not had a single issue with my setup. Easy to use. Payload on this is outstanding. Would definitely recommend even with all the bad I’ve heard from this. Add ons are still good even with it being entry level.

A great, compact gimbal that does its job simply and well. I am able to put it in my camera bag (that's a 15-inch laptop/camera bag, to be clear), get it out, and set it up quickly to get smoother shots than I would handheld. Not to say it's instant (nor would it be for any gimbals, to my knowledge) but simple enough to not take forever and get done with the shoot. I recommend watching some videos on the different settings and modes, but it's really nice once you learn some of the functions. And it didn't take long for me to pick up the different modes.

For how small it is, it handles my Sony A7 with ease, you can feel the difference between the older versions such as ronin SC or S

IT IS VERY EASY TO USE, IT IS NOT HEAVY, THE MATERIAL IS OF GOOD QUALITY. IT CAN BE USED IN ANY SPACE AND WITH ANY DEVICE. EXCELLENT TOOL FOR MAKING VIDEOS AND PHOTOS.

Super light easy to set ..smooth shooting process.. it has increased my shooting skills especially when it comes to cinema like shots and motion shots…

Loved this product. Small, Easy to hold for long duration, with screen for quick operation. And no heating issues. Battery life if really good. Overall with the current price this is a great deal.

It’s perfect start in the gimbal game! Works excellent with my Sony a6400 and any lenses attached. Battery life is amazing and footage in post is all the better. 10/10

Used this guy on a tril to Samoa for a documentary and it performed very well paired with an FX30. Battery life lasts forever and its easy to balance and calibrate

The best camera gimbal in budget. Really helpful to have my 24-70 in portrait mode. Easy to handle and light weight. Its a bit time taking to change it from landscape to portrait.

Love this gimbal! I know so many friends who have one and love it I decided to go the cheaper route and couldn’t be happier! Video and photos are gonna be a blast. It is a little confusing trying to figure it out and to set the balance but after a few tries it’s good to go!

The ease of filming with my camera heaviness is a thing of the past with this baby!
