The only downside is the price, but honestly, it’s worth every single penny for the performance, build quality, and reliability you get. Improved motor strength is very noticable, fewer issues balancing heavier rigs, will work even if not perfectly balanced without stuttering if kept within 10lb capacity limit. That 20% motor strength increase is no joke!

DJI RS 4 Pro: Designed to make you feel like a pro.

After seeing the RS 4Pro at NAB I decided it was finally time to upgrade from my aging Ronin-M, and I have to say this is better than that in just about every way that matters. The RS4 pro balances and calibrates faster. The control on the handle has just about everything you need - focus, pan and tilt, record, and of course re-centering which I've used far more than I expected to. The battery life is absurd - I know my camera setup isn't at the high end of the weight capacity, but I was running complete shoot days without recharging or swapping batteries (using the BG70) The whole rig also feels like its generally balanced better when you're holding it - The Ronin-M was of course designed for two handed use, and I bought the extra handles for this one so I could use it in a way I was used to, but the single grip point is generally great, and also allows for more flexible movements. The focus motor is nice and smooth and its easy to pull focus to where you want. I also noticed that you can control focus from a connected mobile device, but I haven't tested that in the real world yet. Finally, one of the big upgrades from the RS3 series is the native vertical shooting mode, which is pretty painless to switch the camera from one setup to the other as needed, though depending on the weight distribution of your camera, it may be harder to balance in vertical mode - that said, if you get it close and have it auto-calibrate, it'll hold your camera fine - it'll just run the motors harder to keep it stable, running through the battery a little faster. The case it ships with is fine, but a little on the small side if you have extra accessories as I do, I'll probably eventually get a bigger case, but I was able to re-arrange the small case to hold the critical pieces, the extra battery and dual handgrip. As I've seen in other reviews online, there's probably not quite enough different between the RS3 pro and RS4 Pro for some to justify the upgrade, but for me coming from a much older model, it was a much needed upgrade, and for the first time I felt like it addressed every single complaint I had about the older rig, so if you have an older Ronin or no stabilizer at all, it's absolutely worth going for the RS4 Pro.

This thing is amazing. The increased motor strength has handled everything that I've mounted with ease. Even a large heavy lens zoomed all the way in. Once you're used to the setup, it becomes very quick to do. The standard battery lasts a good amount of time and I've yet to burn through it in a day's shooting. The build quality is very nice. It looks and feels premium.

This is an incredible gimbal! I bought it because I have a large camera and large lenses professional grade and it holds up easily for my equipment. The other great thing as you can buy the intelligent tracker, it’s really hard to get right now, but the intelligent tracker allows you to record yourself or another person and follow them a lot easier from a lot of different angles! great choice from the Best Buy geek squad rep Morrie and general manager. Glad I went with the pro with the accessories because it allows me to just connect my phone instead of worrying about buying extra monitors, recorders, or anything else. The Raven eye works great the first one I purchased had some heating issues but returned it got it fixed and solved, and it works great with the app. Overall would recommend!
