This is one of those items that if you need it, It is excellent. If you think you need it, then you probably do not. I found that I used it quite often to start and by the end of my return policy, I decided to return the unit as I decided that this was not something that I needed.

I really needed this to enhance my Surface. I was lucky to get it at such a good price.

This has made my tablet so much more productive, it is great to be able to dock to my 27" and watch a movie or play a game on a bigger screen when I want, but also for all the spreadsheets I work on, definitely a must buy if you need more screen real estate.

Overall this is a very good docking station. Its very stylish. Microsoft could have added a HDMI port and more USB3 ports instead of just media port and one USB 3 and two USB 2 ports. Whats great is it turns my surface into a portable desktop.

Love the way it snaps the tablet into place. Much more straightforward than the two Dell docking stations I've had. Very good viewing angle when set up. Feels well made and substantial. Worth the price.

Dock very useful for a desktop setup. Had all the ports needed for video, network, usb and will charge your unit while being used with a single power cord included.

I used this device on my surface pro 1. It works perfect with it. And at the same time, I can give my surface more usb ports to use.

It is a very useful product. But I had a long way getting the product.

Looks great. Its easy to set up and dock and undock. it feels sturdy. the only "inconvience" factor would be that i need to keep unpluging my wireless usb mouse connector from the tablet when i go and replugging it back in.

My surface docking station performs just as I had hoped it would. It provides the perfect location for my surface when I am using it to complete work.

It places my Surface Pro 2 at a very good angle for reading. It converts my light computer into a useful desktop with all the connections available.

There's a few glitches, but a software update would fix it.

Simple solution for docking the Surface tablet and connecting any extra devices without having to plug a bunch of cables in.

I have been trying to get this item and it is never available. It allows you to turn your surface into a mini laptop.

having gone from a desk top with all equipment fed i'm again able to do that on the surface.

I have been using this dock with a Surface Pro 1 for about a month. When used with an older Dell monitor I was unable to extend the display between both the surface display and the external monitor, but the dock had no problem displaying solely on the external monitor. I have also used the dock with a newer Samsung monitor without any issues what so ever. In short it does what it is suppose to do and seems built well enough to last a long time.

Makes life a lot better in the home office. Smooth action . No thinking just plug it in.
