This set's a great value for the money. All seven seasons of the revived series on blu-ray. It's got tons of commentary on the episodes, if you're into that kind of thing. I like that they included a comic and the Eleventh Doctor's sonic screwdriver remote. (a $99 value in and of itself) The remote works rather well, and controls just about anything operated by IR. It easily programmed to my TV, cable box, sound system and blu-ray player. The only thing I'm not too keen on is that there isn't any bookmarking on the discs. If you have to stop for any reason, you lose wherever you were in the show. It's not fantastic, but at the same time, it's not a deal-breaker either. Another slight downside is you can clearly see where the earlier seasons were upconverted for blu-ray (a bit of noise in some darker scenes) but that's to be expected. Where it excels is in the audio. The audio on all of the discs is fantastic if you're using a home theater system. Especially in the extras disc with the Doctor Who Proms. The orchestra sounds great. If you're like me, and were looking to get all of the seasons on one format, I'd say go ahead and pick this up. You really can't go wrong. With all the extra stuff you get in the box, and the money you're saving if you were to get each season individually, it really is a good value.

This set is worth trading your standard DVDs in for. It's mostly the same special features but the new blu-ray disc is nice and so are the other goodies like the special comic and the sonic screwdriver remote control. I recommend this for any blu-ray-owning Whovians.

This is a fantastic set, great value, all on Blu-Ray. The only thing I am not crazy about is if you stop and your machine turns off, in the middle of a disc, you can't start from that point again, it starts over from the beginning.

A great buy for Doctor Who fans. It includes all the specials of David Tenant and Matt Smith. If you're a sci fi fan, not much better than Doctor Who.

Didn't really start watching doctor who until last year but enjoyed every minute of it. I am glad they finally released this set.

Great value (price has gone up since I bought it, though). Great picture and sound, even on older seasons. Great packaging.

I'd been waiting for something like this to be released so I could own all my favorite Doctor Who moments in one edition, and I was not disappointed. This collection comes in a splendid box with lots of neat extras. I'd had my eye on the sonic remote for a while, and its inclusion in this set as well as the fantastic price clinched the sale for me.
