Doctor Who Series 8 Finale

The Eighth Series finale brings back the Master as the Mistress (though she randomly appeared throughout the series). It's a great wrap up of the Eighth Series and you get to see Peter Capaldi & Jenna Coleman shine. The Twelfth Doctor definitely loved being the President of the World.
I saw the 3-D version in the theater and it added excitement to the episodes so I'm excited to add to my home video collection.

This 3-D blu-ray is basically Season 8 Episodes 11 & 12 combined to feel more like a movie. The 3-D effect is slight lesser then on the 3-D blu-ray release of "Day Of The Doctor", but still quite good. This disc does contain both 2-D & 3-D on the same disc, if you don't have a 3-D HDTV. Not much in extras, but does contain a Season 9 Prelude. It is rather short, yet still good. Overall if you have a 3-D HDTV & really like Doctor Who, then I would recommend this. If you already have Doctor Who Season 8 Complete or Part 2, then this is just Episodes 11 & 12 seamlessly joined together. Fun to enjoy Doctor Who in 3-D.

For only $9.99 you can't go too wrong if you like Doctor Who and have a 3D TV to watch this on. The 3D is all post-production 2D to 3D video conversion. As a general rule converted 3D isn't as strong as native 3D, so don't set your expectations too high, but I always prefer 3D to 2D even if it is converted. The story itself felt like pretty standard Doctor Who fare, but I don't get the cable station that currently airs the Doctor Who TV show, and I love 3D so this was a fun way to catch up with the doings of the newest Doctor.

First off, I am an avid Doctor Who fan and now that the new doctor is starting to be released in Blu Ray, it's a must have for my collection.
Icing on the cake is that the Blu-ray is master in Dolby Atmos, just another reason for me to purchase

It's 3D! What????? Oh man new story and its 3D. I'm warming to the new doctor, it takes me a while (with the exception of Matt Smith) to let go and I'm almost there. This is a great story and the effects are worthy.

Great Doctor Who 3-D film. This is the second one released on 3-D, with Day of the Doctor being the first and I highly recommend both of them if you're a Whovian that wants to see the doctor in 3-D.

This latest incarnation of the doctor left me very cold. The first episode was strong then it petered along for the rest of the season but luckily we had this very well done 2 part finale. The extras are slim but the 3D is brilliant!

This one was just as good (if not better) than the last 3D movie that was put out.
This one though has a better storyline in my opinion.

For any Doctor Who fan. Its Blu-ray and 3D. That is all that needs to be said. Completely uncut versus what BBC America often does.

The story is very grim, but the 3D adds a degree of fun to lighten the mood. It's a good value, too.
