Doctor Who Series 9 is even better than prior seasons. The series continues to evolve and improve each season.

The Ninth Seson of Doctor Who brings new challenges and excitement with a unique storyline that brings the focus back to the Doctor. I found this season much more enjoyable than the Eighth season which seemed to focus on Clara and Danny Pink and the conflict between them and the Doctor. This season included a lot of great moments with bigger themes and a return to what makes the travels of the Doctor intriguing.

So, my problem with this season was that it was essentially an endless string of base under seige type stories. Essentially the formula went " group stranded somewhere, doctor and clara show up, everyone starts dying one by one until the doctor and clara save the day." That formula is a staple of the show but it was literally nearly every episode of the season. It felt incredibly repetitive, like watching the same episode with different characters in a different setting. THat being said there are some amazing episodes (Heaven Sent) here that warrant more than 3 stars.

Dr Who Season 9 Part 1 continues on with Clara Oswald but surprisingly introduces a new character played by Maise Wiliams of Game of Thrones character, Arya Stark. The episodes are of the usual faire but the episodes with Maise are exceptional and we hope to see more of her in future episodes as an additional character in the Who storyline if not the next companion following Jenna Coleman.

Every season of Doctor Who gets better. Timeless classics. Great digital quality for a Blu-Ray disc. Much more inexpensive to purchase both parts of Series 9 separately (this item and the Part 2) than to purchase the complete season as one item (although I will probably purchase the other one too as a collector's item).

In the 9th season, Peter Capaldi really hit his stride as the 12th Doctor. The writing overall was a lot better, the chemistry between Clara and The Doctor improved a whole lot as well. Definitely worth picking up if you were disappointed with the 8th season. It got a whole lot better and much more fun!

Peter Capaldi-fans either love him or hate him as the Doctor. Personally, I think he adds a nuance we haven't seen since the days of Jon Pertwee. This represents the first half of the 9th Season of DOCTOR WHO since its' rebirth and, while not as captivating as the Matt Smith era, does have its'moments!

(No spoilers) The packaging was good and discs were in good condition. I normally do not purchase partial seasons like this, but the price point was more effective. There are not many special features, basically one short behind the scenes for each story line in this set.

Peter Capaldi and the new doctor becomes fully formed in his second season. Season 8 was great but Season 9 is excellent. However, without the BLACK FRIDAY sale, I would not purchase parts 1 and 2 separately. This seems to be a trend in scalping consumers.

I purchased SSN 9 Parts I&II as a lower cost alternative to the full SSN 9. As far as I can tell, there is no difference in content of the two combined as compared with the single full season packaging. A must have for Doctor Who fans!

The fact that you only get half of the season at this price is a little much but its worth it. Took me a while to get use to Peter Capaldi but this season really brought him into his own.

The latest Doctor was a bit of a shock. At first, I was't giving him much of a chance of being around for long - now, I am enjoying the tweeks and quirks of the "older" Doctor.

Well, this was what I was hoping for when I purchased this Blu Ray season set. Turns out to be much better than I had imagined. I'm glad that I purchased this film.

Season 9 part 1 is a must for Dr Who fans. Finally getting used to Peter Capaldi since Matt Smith was my favorite. I do like the relationship between him and Clara though.

Dr who is in great hands right now the season was better than expected great throwback to multiple episodes writing like the old series and lots of twist and turns that kept my attention and Blu ray still looks the best for Doctor Who

Great series! Peter Capaldi is a fantastic Doctor. Also part 1 and part 2 were on sale and came out less than half the cost of the entire season on bluray

The writing on the show continues to be impressive. Peter Capaldi is outstanding as the next Doctor. Jenna is still an outstanding companion for the Doctor.

Dr Who Season 9 has the 2014-15 Xmas specials & 12 Episodes with 3 Comentary tracks. This series has the exit of Clara Oswald. Definitely a Must Buy!

My wife loves this show and cannot live without it. It would be great if they offered all the seasons at the great price these were.

Peter Capaldi reminds me very much of my 3rd favorite Doctor Jon Pertwee (merely a coincidence) with Tom Baker #1 and David Tennant #2
