While some may complain, Capaldi has truly shined this past season as the Doctor. Between his war speech in the Zygon duology to carrying an entire episode as the only speaking character, he has done things that other Doctors have not this season.

Doctor Who fans have to shell out big bucks for these sets, but at least this time they included an entire 12 episode season and 2 Christmas Specials. Throw in a ton of bonus features and the fact that this set shows the end of Companion Clara's run on the series (the longest for any Companion so far) and you have a must have set. I recommend it to all.

This is a four disc blu-ray set. Discs 1-3 include the 2015 Holiday special, the complete ninth season and then the 2016 Holiday special. The fourth disc is full of special features.

i'm such a whovian that i don't care who the doctor is. i appreciate all of their uniquenesses. as a matter of fact, if they were all the same it'd be boring. the beauty of it is that you know the doctor has to change and i welcome it.

So dad to hear Capaldi is leaving the series. Every time I worry about the next one, they do fine. Last season with Jenna Coleman. Episodes were very good. Although I could skip the sonic screwdriver replacement, the glasses.

I'll be the first to admit that I was not a fan of Peter Capaldi, but this season showed me that he does have great potential. The last season was very on and off but this season shows that the 12th doctor Is in good hands

In this case give the Doctor an apple to stay and save the galaxy again. A new Doctor with a new set of stories. He's growing on me but this is also the end for Clara. She is going to be a hard act to follow as was Amy.

This is one of the best Doctor Who seasons speech wise and attitude wise in quite a long time. If you like a brutally honest Doctor then this season is for you, plus it is a nice swan song for the Doctor's companion

Capaldi is great as the Doctor, but the stories have been uneven. Both seasons have some good episodes, but as a whole, this has the best he has done to date, including the humorous Husbands of River Song.

This season was much better than the last, with Peter Capaldi getting into a clear rhythm with his portrayal and shining brightly as the show embraces a darker tone, especially in later episodes of the season.

This is another great addition to the Doctor Who series! Interesting new episodes yet an overarching story with The Master. Peter Capaldi keeps getting better and more like able with every episode. Great show!

The theme throughout was about the Doctor's remorse for what he had done in the past and it catches up to him and also brings Earth to peril as well ending in the lost of his companion. Overall a good season.

Another good season of Doctor Who. Excellent picture and sound. Liked the story of Jenna Coleman being killed off with an open story for her possible return in the future. Wish that she had not left the show.

This series overall is pretty awesome. I do like the new series better than the old series, and series nine was good. I love Clara and an older doctor, their banter and interactions are pretty good!

What can I say ? This is the Ninth Series (recent) of Dr. Who starring Peter Capaldi - actually the 12th Dr. The Dr. has mores lives than a cat ! I fail to see why the local PBS station canceled Dr. Who.

I love Doctor Who and the Blu Ray of series 9 was Amazing. I happened to find it at my local best buy and i bought it on the spot. I enjoy the fact that Best Buy carries so much of Doctor Who.

I love this series!! This set includes all of the episodes and making of featurettes! The set also includes 2 christmas specials ( Last Christmas and the Husbands of River Song). Great Value!!

Season 9 with Christmas special! Doesn't get any better than this! Picture quality is excellent. Since there will not be a regular season this year (2016) better get this to tide you over.

BEST SEASON IN MODERN WHO! I've been saying since Capaldi started, he might be the doctor that I start owning the boxsets. I loved David and Matt, but Capaldi definitely does it for me!

The BBC continues to deliver fantastic episodes of their historic franchise. This season is full of many surprises! The Blu-ray transfers are pristine and the extras are worth a look.
