I was excited to purchase this title and the other similar title Dr. Who Invasion . Both starred Peter Cushing as Dr Who. For those Who fans that may not know about these movies or very little they were released in 1965 -1965 and don't have any direct connection to the television series. The Daleks and Dr Who were exploding in pop culture at the time and the people involved with these productions wanted to bring the series to the big screen.
These movies are great additions to any Who collection and the bluray picture is good. I wish there were more bonus content as what is there is underwhelming but interesting.

This is an interesting historical footnote to Doctor Who. Peter Cushing, as Doctor Who and not The Doctor, does not have a lot to do. But then again, neither did William Hartnell, the TV Doctor on whom this is based. It is basically a colorized version of the first Dalek TV show. The incidental music, perhaps designed for theatres, is at times distracting.

Purchased both this and the other Peter Cushing Doctor Who movie a week apart from each other, and tried them on three separate blu-ray players, two of which could change region codes. Could not get to play on any of them. Said the disks did not meet specifications.
Had to exchange for something else as the store to which I returned them (ordered online) could not order them, nor are they available with any stored within 250 miles of my location. Not pleased.
