Everyone's favorite Doctor in the complete first season. What's not to love?

It's obvious if you're interested in this collection then I don't think I need to tell you anything about the stories so I'll get right to the what sets this apart from the DVD releases. Unfortunately you aren't going to see true HD resolution. But in comparison to the DVD releases there is a better quality of picture with this blu ray collection and the sound is fantastic. I was very happy and satisfied with my purchase because I already owned Baker's first season as the Doctor on DVD. The only disappointed feature is the new interviews with previous cast including Baker. It's a feature where they are watching the episodes on a couch and there is commentary but it feels like a wasted opportunity to gain new insights into the stories. Tom doesn't say much and as a viewer I was left wanting more. Hopefully the next collection will improve. Great buy for any Doctor WHO FAN.

Fun to watch and see how the older versions of the doctor were portrayed

Doctor Who didn't have the special effects that they have now, but the actors all still do a great job with there characters.

I LOVE classic Doctor Who. Tom Baker being my favourite. The quality of this is just amazing. Even though it's still standard definition, with it being PAL resolution, it's above and beyond how these episodes have ever looked here in america. You've never seen Doctor Who this clear. The only downside that I could find is that they use the idiotic feminist SJW reworked Doctor Who logo that they're going with for the the upcoming season of the now ruined show.

This is an excellent blu-ray release of Tom Baker’s first season as the Fourth Doctor! It was beautifully in terms of picture and sound! A few stories have optional upgraded special effects that fit in seamlessly! There are plenty of extra documentaries added that are not available anywhere else! I loved the new one hour interview with Tom Baker that has been added! Very much worth its price! I cannot wait until the next full season blu-ray release.

The blu-ray disc special features have some good interviews for dedicated Dr Who fans of the original series. Tom Baker was the fourth actor to portray the Doctor, with the highlight of his first season being the Genesis of the Daleks storyline. The other three story arcs, Robot, The Ark in Space, The Sontaran Experiment, and Revenge of the Cybermen are average. The special effects are dated in comparison to today’s technology, but futuristic settings are entertaining. The downside to season one is how stupid the Doctor is, constantly being captured or shot. One would figure than after being beaten up and nearly having your travel companions nearly killed, a person would learn from their multiple mistakes and stop being so incredibly stupid/ focused on being scientist. A person would be more wary and aware of their surroundings, to avoid being beaten up or captured again. Overall, not sure if purchasing the season would be suited for average fans of the tv series.

Matt Smith was my favorite doctor but after watching Tom Baker, he is the #1 Doctor followed by Matt Smith. I like the Doctor Who series which is a chance to escape reality and enjoy good sci-fi. Tom Baker was the longest running Doctor for 7 years. This is just season one on bluray which I hope that they will have the rest of the seasons on bluray very soon. I will be waiting for Best Buy to have the series for me to purchase.

This set contains the complete first season of the Fourth Doctor's run on "Doctor Who". Tom Baker is often considered one of the best Doctors and is generally considered the best of the Doctors that were around during the show's original run. This is a solid set that contains his first adventures with Sarah Jane Smith and another companion named Harry. If you're a fan of "Doctor Who", then this one is for you!

For people of a certain age, their first doctor was either Jon Pertwee or Tom Baker. Both are great (but different) interpretations of how this alien time traveler would behave while trapped on earth (and then beyond), but for me Tom Baker's time marked a change in direction for the series as it modernized and became more sci-fi and otherworldly than it was.

My wife is a huge fan of the fourth Doctor, she will love it!

The best value for your money. You get 4 stories (20 episodes total) for an incredible price of $25. Trying to buy each of the 4 stories separately can cost around $80 as the dvds have stopped being rereleased by bbc. Amazing stories again with genesis of the daleks being the introduction of Davros - The creator of the daleks.
