Most probably the best doctor of the original series. Need to release seasons 2-6 real soon

I love that I was finally able to purchase this on Blu-Ray Disc. It is packed with so many behind the scenes features, including Tom sitting down with a fellow crew member from his run on the series and John Leeson who voiced the robot dog K-9 watching every episode from his last season together and reminiscing and laughing about some parts. Two of the episodes were remixed in 5.1 surround sound as well. If you are a fan of Tom Baker's era on Doctor Who definitely buy this. The picture quality is pretty good, though only 1080i and not 1080p probably because they recorded on video tape and not film, it still looks sharper than DVD. Definitely worth buying.

Its awesome to finally get to take these episodes home, much less on Blu Ray. The BBC even upgraded a couple episodes to 5.1 Surround sound. Unfortunately, not every episode got the upgrade.

Don’t get me wrong, I love new Doctor Who, but they say there’s no Doctor better than your first Doctor, and I discovered the show way back in the 80’s when the local PBS station was showing Tom Baker’s run of Doctor Who. This is Mr Baker’s last season and has some of his best episodes. The “E-Space Trilogy”, Keeper of Traken, and Logopolis are truly great stories. Highly recommended to anyone old enough to remember or new enough to be hooked on the revival show but want to see where it’s roots are.

This season wraps up Tom Baker's time in the role of The Doctor. Seven stories told over 28 episodes in a serial format sets up the departures not only of the 4th Doctor, but also companions Romana and K-9. New companions Adric, Nyssa and Tegan join the TARDIS crew, and we finally get the long overdue reintroduction of fellow Time Lord and implacable foe The Master.

Tom is my favorite Who by far. It is amazing that most of these still don’t seem too dated today given the rudimentary sfx. Nice stories and great companions along with K9, the robot dog able to get them out of he toughest spots imaginable.

Tom Baker is arguably the best Doctor from the original series. It's great to see these getting some high def treatment. Granted, the source material is not exactly stellar to begin with, but this is still worth the purchase for any Whovian.

Doctor who is one my favorite TV shows of all time ! These episodes look a lot better than the dvd releases I think. Any who fan should buy this set as it's far cheaper to buy this than the stories individually on dvd.

LOVING seeing the 4th doctor in all his glory on bluray and a hi def tv. The pacing, effects, etc make this maybe not for everyone, but as a doctor who fan I enjoyed the nostalgia immensely.

This is the last season of the fourth doctor, it has great picture and audio quality and some very good extras. Perfect for a classic doctor who fan!

I grew up watching Tom Baker, and he’s my favorite Doctor. These episodes are psychedelic. Awesome price, awesome deal!
