This film is a masterpiece. Although set in Australia, there are many of us here in the USA who lived this lifestyle and were deeply moved by this story. There is nothing false or contrived about this film. These characters are as real as it gets. The acting is so genuine, and Michael Hutchence was nothing short of brilliant as Sam. The fact that he passed away 11 years after this film was made only makes it more haunting to watch now. If you or anyone you know lived among the "No Future" punk counterculture of the late 1970s - early 1980s, and all that that implies, you must experience this film. Then go buy the soundtrack - one of the best ever made!

For those of us who grew up during the punk rock scene, this is a unflinching account and inside glimpse of the lifestyle. Lead actor Michael Hutchence, the late lead singer of INXS, gives an admiral performance in his first acting role. Unfortunately, this movie only opened to the small indie movie houses and did not last long. So, do yourself a favor and purchase this dvd and enjoy a "flash from the past''. Instant classic!!!
