Fantastic game, I never played any of the other Donkey Kong games. But I loved Super Mario Odyssey. This is a true successor and the game is SO huge! Smooth gameplay, funny moments & just overall so fun!

A game that was revealed with just the leader of the bunch and a rock turns out to be a master piece. Between the story and the demolition of the levels it is perfect

I had high hopes for this game and it far exceeded any expectation I had. Donkey Kong Bananza is one of the best games that I have ever played. It is so creative that I am surprised no game has ever been made like it before. I bought my Switch 2 on the second day it came out and if this was the only Switch 2 exclusive game I would say the console upgrade was worth it. I cannot recall a game being this good in many years. This game is fantastic and I highly recommend it for anyone who has a Switch 2.

Donkey Bananza feels like stepping into a giant toy box where every corner invites you to experiment, explore, and cause a little harmless chaos. It’s the kind of game you can pick up for a quick session and accidentally play for hours. The only downside shows up in the endgame. Once you start going for 100% completion, the objectives become noticeably repetitive. Collectible cleanup and late-game challenges start to blur together, which can make the final stretch feel more like a checklist than an adventure. Even with that, the overall experience is delightful. If you enjoy colorful platformers and open-ended levels that feel like one big playground, this game delivers a ton of fun. Just be prepared for some repetition if you’re aiming to complete absolutely everything.

Donkey Kong Bananza completely surprised me in the best way possible. I went in expecting a fun platformer, but this game delivers way more than that. The music and sound design are also top tier. Classic jungle vibes mixed with new tracks make everything feel energetic and lively. Boss battles are a big highlight too. They’re challenging without being frustrating and always come with some fun twist. The game runs perfectly on the Switch 2. No frame drops, fast loading, and the visuals pop on both handheld and docked mode. The backgrounds are vibrant, the effects look great, and the whole game just has that polished Nintendo feel. Overall, this is one of the most enjoyable games I’ve played this year. It’s creative, polished, and packed with personality. If you like platformers or just want something fun that keeps you smiling the entire time, this one deserves a spot on your list. I genuinely think it’s game of the year material.

DK's return to 3D is every bit as excellent as its spiritual predecessor Super Mario Odyssey (if not q u i t e as fresh). Tight control, beautiful visuals, and an inventive destruction mechanic make for an unforgettable platforming experience!

Donkey Kong Bananza is unlike any other DK game out there. It's a fresh approach to the game. It's hands-down one of, if not, the best game out currently for NS2. I've got probably 100+ hours in the game and just beat the main story. If you need to take out some frustration, just hope on Bananza and you can pretty much destroy anything. Not only that, destroying things is actually part of the process. It's how you find hidden chests and other items. This game should be added to everyone's collection.

Donkey Kong Bananza is an absolute blast! My husband and I are both adults, and we didn’t expect to fall in love with this game — but here we are, totally hooked. It’s fun, colorful, and the perfect mix of nostalgic charm and fresh, exciting gameplay. We’ve had so much fun competing and laughing through each level that I actually had to order a second copy just so I could play on my own Switch — my husband is way too hooked and won’t share his anymore! If you’re looking for something lighthearted, entertaining, and perfect for solo or duo play, this game is it. 10/10 would recommend for couples, families, or anyone who loves a good Donkey Kong adventure!

I had never played a DK game before Bananza so I was at first apprehensive to play it but oh boy was I wrong. Smashing stuff is so much fun and the animations, music, and gameplay mechanics are awesome. A must play on the Switch 2

Amazing game, just dont buy the dlc. I feel like the dlc should have been included with the base game but considering the base game is actually AMAZING I can forgive making everyone pay extra for nostalgia.

In any other generation by any other developer, this would have been a tech demo. Instead Nintendo managed to make a 3D platformer based entirely around terrain destruction and made it work wonderfully. The game itself was made by the same team that created Super Mario Odyssey, and you can tell. The whole thing oozes quality and is polished until it shines like a (banana) gem. Cannot recommend enough. This is a must-have if you've got a Switch 2.

One of the best games I’ve played in a long time. I might be an avid donkey Kong fan but honestly you don’t have to be to enjoy this game. Made by SM Odyssey creators.

Great donkey Kong game. Brilliant blend of Minecraft and Mario 3D elements. It was a fresh entry in the series. I am taking my time and enjoying it.
