It does not break any molds it is a simple and solid entry in the series with a lot of nods to the first 2 games. This is a nice refresh for fans of the franchise. Streets of Rage 4, TMNT shredders revenge are other games you should pic up if you like this type of game.

Didn't think I'd like the roguelite elements, but it really works to make each run feel different. The other levels getting beefier and harder as you beat stages is also really cool. Feel like a kid playing on the SNES again!

Double Dragon Returns!

I give it 4 stars. Good game, lots of replay value and fair challenge.
