If you are a fan of the PBS series, then this film is a must-see (if not a must buy at the price I bought it). The cast is reunited and put under the pressure of a royal visit from the King, which brings most of your favorites who had scattered across the UK and beyond back to Downton Abbey for a nicely staged redux.

The Downton Abbey Series continues as a movie. Still in the 1920’s, the Crawley’s and their staff are preparing for a visit by the King and Queen of England. The movie continues the romance , intrigue, and scandal of the Crawley’s. Watch as the staff of the Abbey lose control of the preparations for the Royal couple and then regain control.

I loved the Downton Abbey television series. When the show ended I thought we would never see these characters again. So happy that they decided to continue the series with a movie. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Loved the storyline line and seeing my favorite character, The dowager, again. I highly recommend this movie to any Downton fan.

I never watched the series. Close friends are big fans so over the years I saw couple episodes and thus know the general plot. I found the film very complete and fully was able to get into and enjoy it, so much so that I'm going to watch the whole series now. Well done.

We miss the Downton Abbey series on PBS, so it was like seeing old friends when the movie came out. We saw the movie at the theater and we knew at that moment we'd buy the DVD. We have the entire series on DVD and now the movie. Every so often, we begin watching the series from beginning to end - and now we have a new "end". Wonderful.

Love this movie and having the special edition version is fantastic! It’s such a heart warming movie and makes me fall in love with the series all over again! Also makes me excited for the next movie to come out! I’ll definitely be purchasing the special edition of that one as well if it’s offered!

If you like the TV show, you'll probably like this. If not, no reason this would change your mind. It can be enjoyed without ever having seen the show, but that would certainly help. I'd say that the main differences between this and the show would be that they have to get a story done in a much shorter time and the production quality (camera moves, lighting, etc) has been knocked up a few notches. Somewhere, I saw someone complain about a gay kiss not being right for the time period, but I thought that the characters were pretty discreet about it and it wasn't overly lingering. Hope this did well enough for them to make another!

This DVD is a must for anyone who was a fan of the Downton Abbey PBS series. The movie showcases the rituals and traditions of the British aristocrats. The servants engage in an hysterical scheme that is very entertaining. Dirty little secrets of the royals are revealed. A new romance develops that could be the basis for a sequel.

Once again Fellows' script was brought to life by an excellent cast. Highcler Castle became an important part of the story and the castle was beautifully filmed along with the entire movie. The movie didn't disappoint long time fans, yet the movie stood alone on its own for the many movie goers who didn't see the BBC series.

I got this as a Christmas present for my wife because she loves this series and was really wanting to see the movie once it came out on video. I bought her the limited edition copy because of the extras it offers. She was very happy about this purchase and thoroughly enjoyed the movie and it’s special features.

I adored the TV series, and had all of the seasons on DVD. So, of course I had to add this to my collection! It has everything I really need right now: class, calm, grand balls, and a lovely castle. With a nice cup of (iced) tea, I can escape today and head to the fun of the "roaring '20s!"

I looked for this movie at four different stores and they were all sold out. My fifth stop was Best Buy. There were no copies on the sales floor so I went to customer service who researched there inventory and told me they had eight copies in the storeroom. I left the store with my copy in hand! The Downton movie is equal to the best episodes of the televised show. The scope is larger and the grandeur is slightly elevated due to the royal visit, but it is Downton and does not disappoint. The presentation is wonderful and the sound is solid. So, it is a definite required purchase for any Downton fan.

After seeing it in the theater, I watched it again last night. It's so great to see the settings in a cinematic setting. Watching the drone coverage of the abbey coupled with the theme played by a full orchestra was a thrill. Great story - not just another episode. Great cast as always!

If you loved the Downton Abbey tv show, you'll love this movie. Won't give away the storyline so you'll have to watch for yourself. This package includes a bluray, DVD and digital copy. All worked perfectly. Ordered for pickup and it arrived in a few days. Pickup was easy and quick.

If you enjoyed the TV show you will love the movie. Great story line, most all of the cast is back. Individual characters are expanded. Some are completed and some have added new futures. The story could end here, but it is wide open to continue. I enjoyed every moment.

As a big fan of the original series it was exciting to learn a movie of the same was being made. I loved the movie... I know it might not be for everyone but if you want to be captivated by the experience and learn a little something about English history this is the movie to watch

This Downton Abbey bundle is excellent as it includes a digital copy, blu-ray copy, and DVD. The film I believe is very good and I ordered and received it from Best Buy in a very quick timeframe. If you enjoyed the television series you'll enjoy the film.

I was highly surprised to see that this disc contained a DVD, Blu-ray, and Digital Copy. Definitely great value for only $12.99! With so many movies and shows leaping from platform to platform and disappearing, its nice to own a physical copy in these trying times.

Great filler movie! I love the DA series so was thrilled with this movie. It answers quite a few unresolved issues but also presents new ones so hoping there will be another one coming. Best Buy has the best movie prices, whether DVD, Bluray or 4K!
