Bought this for my wife as a Christmas present and she has watched it every night since. She was introduced to Downton Abbey through one of my coworkers but we were unable to see the first 3 seasons. The storyline is so compelling and well written that you feel bad even when the villans get their just deserts. I don't want to reveal too much but the setting is England right around the industrial revolution. Think candle light and letters to electricity and the invention of the phone. It follows an aristocratic family and there challenges to accept the changing world they live in. Plenty of plot twist and star crossed lovers. Our evenings have been enhanced since purchasing this and will continue as we rewatch the entire series.

Got this on sale with best thing ever price match. Anniversary gift for wife. She is happy with blue ray quality.

The way this series starts is incredible. It does not disappoint through its run.

I had watched bits and pieces of Downton Abbey on PBS but I had trouble watching a full episode or several together. Like a soap opera the show is more enjoyable as you watch each episode together and you know what's going on. This is a great show, but only if you like period pieces.

This video series is one of my wife's favorites. I purchased it for her for Christmas. She had already seen all of the episodes when they were aired on TV but hinted that she would like to have the complete series on bluray. This was a good choice...she was very pleased!

I will not review the series, as it is superb. This particular box set contains all of the episodes, along with an abundance of extras. The set is a must for fans!

I'm not a fan of this show myself. However my wife loves it so I bought the complete season for her. Needless to say I spent the last few weeks watching T.V in another room because she loves the show so much she continued to play episode after episode...lol.

My wife and I loved Downton Abbey when it was on tv. Since there was a whole year between seasons it was hard to remember what happened previously before the new season started. That problem is gone now that we own this. Bluray makes it a perfect purchase!

My wife loves this show and naturally needed the entire series. Somehow for a show that literally is talking and walking around it does a great job of sucking you in. If you have never watched before, you will find yourself bingeing and rewatching...

I saw this item in B& N and thought Best Buy could do so much better which you did. I love this series and this complete set has a lot more behind the scenes that were not on the other versions. I love this show and am very happy with this set

Excellent presentation of the series and very interesting bonus material. The bonus featurettes add historical information and explanation that clears up why things happen like they do and why people behaved as they did.

What more can you say about this iconic series. It is without peer. This set brings the viewer the entire series from its grandiose beginnings in 1912 to humble ending in 1928. It's definitely worth the price of admission!

I had seen and watched this fantastic program on Netflix and the moment I watched it I had to own this series. My only complaint is that the show ended and I do hope they make a movie. This is a must have series.

Its a lot of seasons in one box...so its gonna be a while before I can truly review this purchase. But yep it includes all seasons in one box and it's Downton, not Downtown people....get it right...jeesh

The series was on PBS. Besides the talented acting and story lines, I rather favored the fact that it was filmed inside the Abbey- the furniture,art work on the walls, fixtures around the Abbey- all genuine.

This show is amazing and the complete collection is amazing with all of the bonus features! The cast is fantastic and the show is a great period show. A must purchase for any Downton Abbey fans.

My wife and I made watching this series a Sunday night must when it was aired on PBS. I purchased this for my wife for our upcoming anniversary. I know she will love having it to watch again and again.
