I heard of August on his second album: Testimony & loved almost every track on it. I figured I needed to hear where that came from. Though this album is lacking the big name features of the second it still tells a great story. Hard hitting beats + great singing + a story behind every track. My favorite track is "Don't forget about me", followed by "Downtown". August I feel has something so special with his songs that modern R&B is missing. He brings his pain & struggle to the forefront & his passion rings true. Not every R&B track has to be about the ladies & August Alsina rocks both exquisitely. He is the realist in the game today, hands down!

Love this CD! Already heard most of the songs on Pandora but I still had to have this one. It has a few repeat songs from the next album but the rest of the songs are still amazing.

Great EP!! Excellent representation of real life, the Strug-Life. Terrific beats. Love the stories w/each song and pictures of his nieces.

A singing thug is the best! I think I need to get the extended cd though.

I purchased this album literally for one song that I fell in love with and now I just keep the entire album on repeat. Its amazing August is the best singer and my favorite artist because his music is so real. He's telling his story heveven cries in his music and I love it. Thank you August for being so real and not being afraid to stand out and be different. I love you and I'll keep buying your music!

This is my new favorite album. It is time for everyone to know who August is. He is so talented, and has the best voice out there now. The true August fans know he can do a cover of anyone's songs and make it sound better than the original. He is going to surpass Trey and Chris if he keeps this up. Buy this album. You will not be disappointed!!!!

I already own this cd. I purchased this one for my friend for his birthday, because he loved mine so much. I would buy this cd for every friend, as August Alsina is the best talent out there. I am even going to see him in Houston in March. I saw him in November and he is phenomenal. You must buy this cd, and see him live if you get the chance.

August's EP is a small batch of quality songs. Great production and just a taste of what's to come.

Good Debut Album Production, hook, structure View of his life

I liked his sound and voice. I hope that he can and will increase his vocabulary because the kid can sing and has a story to tell.

I have loved August since his YouTube days. Its about time everyone gets to hear what I've already know from the jump. Forget about just writing comments tell everyone you know about this CD because i have. And one of the main things i love about him isn't just his face, or his Swag, or his thugness, but i love those to:). its because his words have a purpose. and that's rare in the music industry now.

August alsina, my new favorite new artist!!! I really think people should support him, he is so real and he lyrics are relatable....luv this EP can't wait until his Cd come out!!!!
