Amazing story line and gameplay. Exciting to play and capturing. Really have not been this drawn to a video game in years. I’m 38 and gamed from the age of 10-about 30 then from 30-38 off and on. I can’t put this game down. The story line keeps you interested, the sarcastic clever and whitty dialogue is more than entertaining. Combat dynamics are not to simple but not overwhelmingly complicated. Pretty quick to understand, but very customizable. If you have never played any dragon age games before, enjoy rpg and storyline with fun interesting combat. For sure give this game a shot! I feel it’s a good rounded, crafted platform for all types of gamers to enjoy. Give it a whirl, if ya don’t like it.. you probably only play sports games :) oh btw, on 4k the graphics are absolutely glorious.

Completed the game and while i had my fun, it did feel lacking, especially for how long we had to wait for it. You get tons of choices along the way, but very few have much impact on how things end up. The romances are pretty slow and surface level. It's very easy to build up your rapport with all the factions to the highest level and a little more effort and you can max them out. If woke things annoy you, it is forced in there for your enjoyment. And spoiler alert... you're forced to kill a companion no matter the choices you make.

Theres a few things i dont like about the game. Some cringy dialog and the dialog system itself is a big letdown. In previous bioware games you could flat out be mean....not this one. It's always a nice quip of somesort. Even the bossy option. Emmrich, Bellara, and Davrin are awesome companions, tho. Combat is great too!

I have played all of the Dragon Age games many, many times, it is one of my favorite game franchises. Dragon Age Veilguard is different, but in a good way. The combat system is similar to the other games and Bioware's storytelling is still second to none. I love the Companions and their individual stories and combat mechanics. There is a slight disconnect from the overall Dragon Age story line, and choices from the other games, but it still feels like a Dragon Age game. I waited a long time to play this because of all the negative reviews, but I really enjoyed this game and will definitely play it just as many times as I have played all the others.

I loved Dragon Age: Inquisitor, but was concerned about this game being too much of an action game on rails. In spite of it being different from the open-world RPG's I normally play, I absolutely love it!
I am 60-years-old and my reflexes aren't what they used to be, but this game is so customizable that anyone can enjoy playing it. I love the combat system that lets you pause the game to issue commands. There are lots of cut scenes, so my carpal tunnel does not flair up from non-stop button mashing. The voice acting is phenomenal, and the characters seem so real.
I recommend watching some Youtube videos to get you off to a good start with this game. There are many options when building your character, and a ton of settings that impact combat and overall game play. Thoroughly understanding how the game works makes all the difference. You don't need to worry about appearance though, as you can change that at any time.
If you want to save the world with a group of good NPC friends, this game delivers that experience. I do wish there were more choices, and that the choices you do make had more impact, but then no game is perfect. I like being able to just sit back on the couch and play without needing to constantly reference an external game guide, like I do with many open-world RPG's. I guess every style of game has it's pros and cons.

A very good return to form for Bioware. Their best game since Mass Effect 3. Not great but very good and worth a play.

Great game if you enjoy the other dragonage games. Not as detailed or open world as inquisition but still fun! Couldn't be upset for $24

Good action RPG game. A change from dragon age format which was a little disappointing but still a solid game. 4 stars.

Underrated game. People saying it's horrible clearly didn't play it. It does a great job at creating some amazing moments.

This is a worthy successor to the Dragon Age franchise, visually impressive and with a deep, compelling storyline. I feel that Veilguard would've fallen into Dragon Age's usual GOTY slot if not for the politics behind one of the characters rubbing a certain crowd the wrong way.

if you are expecting DAO or even Inquisition don't play this it's a fun time, it's not groundbreaking, the combat is smooth it runs extremely well on the Series X, and there are some good companions and no real tangible romance options, but I enjoyed my time with it.

Never played the Dragon Age games before so this was my first time with it. Gameplay-wise, it's ok. Nothing groundbreaking but decently engaging for me. Story-wise, not the greatest. Characters weren't really likeable so I didn't really feel invested with the game. Got this for $15, so I can't exactly complain for what I got for that price. 5/10

I bought this as a gift for my brother, and he loves it. It's one he asked for and it was the last one at this store and I am so thankful for that because it was basically a Christmas miracle (if you believe in those).

Dragon Age Veilguard is the absolute pinnacle of fantasy perfected. LOVE BioWare’s stylized high-fantasy aesthetic. So glad we’re finally getting actually full-on next-gen only games.. & it truly shows. This feels like a true evolution (which I haven’t felt since Mario & Zelda went 3D with 64 & Ocarina..) 10/10. We don’t get enough fantasy games like this..

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is an outstanding game with a plethora of options available to design characters the way you want them to look. Each decision impacts the game in various ways and the gameplay, along with combat, isn’t complicated yet is challenging enough to make the game interesting and fun.

The game is fun and the combat is tight. Still doesnt compare to franchises like Mass Effect but had some fun with it.
