Rip Off! Stick with the earlier release.

I was ecstatic to hear that Dragon Ball GT was getting reissued roughly a decade or so after FUNimation's season sets. Surely this would mean an upgrade with some re-remastering done, or the Dragon Box transfers. The packaging on this release is nice (no overlapping discs anymore - yay!) but that's where the positives end. This is literally the old FUNimation discs from a decade ago slapped in a new package. Nothing more, nothing less. And it costs twice as much as the older complete series set! The packaging insultingly refers to things like "marathon mode" and "remastering" as special features. These are standard features, not bonuses. It's been 20 years or so since these could justifiably be called special features. Just order the old Complete Series instead. It's the same discs and costs half as much.

The box is the ONLY thing new in this dvd set. SAME OLD FUNIMATION DVDS. Know that before you buy. Only get this for the box.
