    Not sure how I managed to come across this random 3am restock but I’m glad I did this SteelBooK IS VERY RARE and Best Buy def saved me from buying resale, the start of the OG dragon ball z dub journey in blu ray quality with the Toonami score

    Normally the DBZ HD remasters are terrible. The only thing this has going for it is that it is in the original 4:3 aspect ratio. So no more zoomed in cropped images. Yeah are the colors still not the original? Yeah. Is it the terrible Funimation redub of the original Funimation Dub? Yeah. But for those who want a close enough experience to their childhood.....this is gonna be it.

    If you are looking for DBZ in the original 4:3 format instead of that awful 16x9 version we got earlier this is it, the original run like i said in 16x9 cuts some of the top and bottom of the scenes to make it fit, this one doesn't its all there, so I'm glad they released it, of course theres nothing new, and if you want to watch in original japanese the volume kind of dips, but just turn the volume up.

    This is a fantastic steelbook set by Best Buy. The show comes in the original 4:3 aspect ratio and the artwork used is great. However, Best Buy once again seems to have an inability to ship steelbooks without damage. I purchased the first five seasons and Season 1 came broken in half with a broken spine and the other four have numerous dents and scratches. If you make an item only available for purchase online and by shipping at least make sure to ship your items with some care and not like Ace Ventura stomping all over the package

    There is no perfect version of Dragon Ball Z on home video. But this is probably the best we'll ever get. Images are only slightly cropped unlike those faux widescreen DVDs and Blu-rays. Some light noise reduction but not bad. Not as good as the cancelled level series, but these look good and are an acceptable release. Recommended

    This is perfect for anyone who is a fan of Dragon Ball. This steelbook along with the ones released for the other seasons all have great visible and vibrant art that can be seen with the factory seal applied.

    Been waiting for restock on season 1. I'm glad they restocked. I love the original 4:3 ratio they have. This is great for old fans and new fans of dbz.
