This movie has a interesting cast. It has now been released on bluray.

Unfortunately only English sub-titles... no English dub. Since the wife can't see subtitles very well I ended up watching this one alone. A bit of a pain when one must constantly watch and read. The disc case says in tiny letters: "Mandarin/English" which led me to believe an English dub was available. Cannot recommend to a friend but there are those that prefer subtitles combined with the original language.

Great movie and realistic action. Love Jackie Chan and John Cusack.

Not perfect, particularly the editing, but visually stunning with a strong story line and not your typical battle story. Jackie Chan shines both in acting and fighting. John Cusack has never been better. Adrien Brody has a smaller but strong part. Will watch this again.

I like Jackie Chan movies and this was enjoyable enough. I think that this movie reminded me of The 300 Spartans and similar type movies that can be inspiring to what friendship, determination, and working together can achieve when you have a common goal or ideal.

The storyline for this seems a stretch, but Jackie chan made his role work very well. I enjoyed the fact that he didn't ALWAYS kick butt, but struggled at points. This was definitely a "straight-to-disc" movie, but it was still very enjoyable.

I say visuals vs cinematography because I have read that most of the scenery is digital but all beautiful and captivating none the less and the film presented a nice blend of cultures in watching both a foreign film with subtitles and an epic film featuring the english language. The action choreography is amazing and Hollywood could stand to learn a thing or two from foreign cinema. I thought all the actors did a fine job and even though Adrian Brody starts to lean in the "over the top" category he still pulls his character off nicely considering after all he does play the villain. All in all a fine crafted movie worth seeing and owning on Blu Ray!

This Is based on a true story but took a chance on it cause of my man Jackie Chan! There is still plenty of normal Jackie Chan action but it really has a good story behind it! If u like history and or Jackie Chan it is a MUST SEE!!!!

Some of the movie was in Chinese with subtitles while other portions were in english. Overall it was an interesting movie with some pretty graphic violence. Not recommended for young children.

Jackie Chan movies are usually action packed. This movie was rather slow for more than half the time. The last 30 minutes or so was more like a Jackie Chan movie.

This is a movie I literally heard nothing about. See it on sale for $6,so picked it. Pleasantly surprised by how good it is. MAYBE too violent for some.

Movie was vood for Jackie chan being gone awhile and only problem is plot has some hole but nothing horrible. Has amazing action similar to 300.

I'm a martial arts film junkie. So seeing a movie with Jackie Chan and this much production value has me totally intrigued. Very interesting premise and great fight scenes. Liked the way the movie showed that warriors of other cultures (i.e. Roman Legionnaires) could be as adept at fighting as Chinese Martial artists. Long story short, the movie was Awesome. Had all the right stuff - poignancy, heroism, irony, great fight scenes. Loved it.

The acting is good, not great. The story line is pretty good. If you like Jackie Chan, this is a good movie to buy.

A truly interesting film, and somewhat different from your typical Jackie Chan bill 'o fare. You should watch.
