Customers regard the gameplay as highly enjoyable and fun, praising its blend of action and familiar Dragon Quest elements. The story and art style also receive positive feedback, although some find the gameplay repetitive after a while. While the music and voice acting are appreciated, a few players found the game's difficulty to be too easy.

It's a pretty fun game with a somewhat cool story. It does tend to get a bit repetitive, but being a fan of Akira Toriyama's work, I didn't mind it so much.

The game itself is fun. Combat is what you would expect from a "Dynasty Warriors" clone. My main gripe is that the "hub" is unnecessarily large and you have to walk (not run) from one area to the other to do various things like team management, health replen, and stores... It's 2016 why is this still a thing? You have a menu. Your main series generally have a menu... Why would you make this a thing? It is so time consuming that I get frustrated and turn off the game. For the price I got it, it is ok... But no way would I have enjoyed this at full price.

Doesn't feel like the developers put as much time or thought into this game as they did the previous games. Not on par with the other action/rpg games released in the same year, not even close.

So i really enjoyed this game despite getting more and more repetitive in the later levels. One thing that i do enjoy the most are the characters and the overall Dragon quest theme.

I've been away from the series for a while
After playing I keep looking back at my older games more. This isn't bad, I just think the older ones were better

Starts off bland, but becomes very tense.

The game starts off without much sense of urgency, but things get tense and exciting once you have to protect things on the map. Then the game shines.

This was a fun Dynasty Warriors take on Dragon Quest. Would have been much better with Multiplayer but the singer player was still a lot of fun.

Fun game. Way better than I expected and gets pretty difficult in the post game stuff.
Note though: This is NOT a normal dragon warrior/quest game. It is not a JRPG like the other DW games. Think of it is Hyrule Warriors with DW characters.

It was not at all what I was expecting, it's basically a dynasty warriors clone...like there aren't enough of those already

This is not your traditional turn based RPG. This is a hack and slash RPG much like Dynasty Warriors Series, however you do not get to free roam an open world environment. You select the dungeon where you go and you get transferred there instead of exploring open environments. Game gets repetitive because the quests are mostly the same, but if you a fan of the series then it is worth a shot.

Dragon Quest is a great universe and this is one of the first game to expand into it. There are a lot of characters from previous games and enemies alike. It will keep you entertained and happy for a good while.

I've played most of the DQ game and this game is so much fun with all those familiar characters and enemies. It does get a little repetitive like all dynasty warrior game, but it is still a blast playing it.

If you enjoy action RPGs and the Dragon Quest series, then this game is a must have! Fun, colorful visuals and great controls make this DQ derivative a joy to play. Let's hope we are DQ11 in the west.

If you happen to like Dragon Quest games and Dynasty Warrior games, then you might like this. I read the online reviews and waited for the price to drop before I purchased this. It is entertaining and fun in small doses, since there is not an engaging story that keeps me going. It is satisfying to sit down once in a while and smash some enemies.

Dragon Quest Heroes was a decent game and having the Gamers Club saved me even more.
