Customers regard the gameplay as highly enjoyable and fun, praising its blend of action and familiar Dragon Quest elements. The story and art style also receive positive feedback, although some find the gameplay repetitive after a while. While the music and voice acting are appreciated, a few players found the game's difficulty to be too easy.

I was never the biggest fan of Musou games or Dragon Quest, but the reviews were pretty positive for this game. I decided to try it out and was glad I did.
With various characters you can use, it mixes up the gameplay if you want it to. The frame rate generally held up despite tons of enemies as well. I just kept telling myself one more mission. And in the end, I put in 60 hours.
My complaint would be that the stages are a bit small compared to games like Dynasty Warriors or even Hyrule Warriors. And the escort and defend missions could be frustrating. Despite that, it was still very fun and enjoyable.

Dragons Quest Heroes is a action game in the vein of Dynasty warriors but it has decent polish and smooth combat. It looks great and it feels great when your fighting some of the more challenging creatures. Overall a decent buy if you have nothing much to do in the way of games or if you are a fan of the dragon quest games but just wanted to hit all the things all the time instead of taking turns.

This game is great! Combining the gameplay of Dynasty Warriors with the charm of Dragon Quest, this game is a fun time. The art style, enemies, music, items and menus from Dragon Quest are all here and everything fits wonderfully with the Dynasty Warriors hack and slash game play.

Between the smooth graphics and Dragon Quest nostalgia, this is a game worth trying out. The developers spared no expense on the rich scenery used for the battlefields and gorgeous effects utilized for the special attacks. Fans of Dragon Quest will certainly enjoy seeing characters from past games in a new light. About the only downside is that you cannot keep your acquired monster medals after the battle ends.

Wonderful game in-depth story arced off the Dragon warrior game franchise with a simmilar game play to the dynasty warriors series but they keep it from freeing like a clone of the game even less so the hyrule warriors

The last Dragon Quest game I played was Dragon Quest 8 on the PS2, so I was expecting more of a turn based traditional RPG, rather than a "Zelda style" Adventure game. The game is fun overall, but I have only played for a few hours and I think that the constant tapping of buttons and running around all over the screen trying to kill the thousands of monsters might get a bit old after a while.

Pros:
- Very funny writing
- Enjoyable characters
- Classic Dragon Quest music and chimes, familiar enemies
- Fun to collect materials, level up, improve gear.
- Combat is fluid but basic
Cons:
- Repetitive mission designs. Defending something from the mob of enemies sums up 90% of the win parameters.

I enjoy this game. It's simple but it also seems to be a button masher. Unlike any of the dragonquest games I've played for the ds. This one is not like sentinels in the sky. But it's a still a fun rpg to play. I didn't see any online features, and it's one player, but it's dragonquest.

This is not another Dynasty Warriors-type game - it's got RPG elements, amazing characters and fantastic design. If you are a fan of Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Quest or any of Akira Toriyama's work, you should seriously consider this game... even if Dynasty Warriors is not your thing.

I'm a huge Dragon Quest fan so when I saw this game was on sell I had to pick it up. It's a great spin off game and takes the series to a unique place that it's never been before. Awesome hack and slash action!!! It's so awesome to blast the iconic DQ monsters to a pulp in style with over the top colorful magical attacks. (especially the cute little slimes) Getting to gather famous DQ characters from past games was a real treat and getting to see them on the big screen with PS4 graphics make it even better. I give this game 4 stars. The reason I take off a star is because it is repetitive lots of grinding to level up and the camera can be a bit wonky at times but all that aside it's still fun to play. Dragon Quest is back!!!

While this game is not a standard Dragon Quest RPG. DQH is a fun romp in the Dragon Quest universe, it borrows some features and mechanics from the Dynasty Warriors games and combines them with tons of charm. Many characters are from other DQ games and if voiced have the same English VA's also Japanese with English subtitles is a option.

Hyrule warriors got me into the warriors series, and remains my favorite, but this one is a close second. It doesnt carry the same territory taking mechanics as the rest of the titles, but is more of a straight action game. The graphics are great. There is a great variety of characters. There are several hours of fun to be had.

I only played for about 5 hrs so far and I gotta admit I came into this game not expecting good quality but boy oh boy I was wrong. I love the action packed missions and different styles of game play like defending and escort.. and summoning the monsters is pretty cool, it kinda gives it a tower defense feel that I love playing on my phone.
So far the only disappointment are the lack of variety of skills I have unlocked

Dynasty warriors reskinned but some cool features to set it apart like the airship, story and character customization. It's a little bland and repetitive but it's a decent game. It's nothing compared to hyrule Warriors but it's still a fun game.

Dragon Quest Heroes isnt the normal Dragon Quest game which is mainly just an RPG series which we would appreciate if Square Enix brought back to us. But nonetheless its like Dragon Quest and Musou games had a beautiful baby. Graphics, gameplay and sound are all spot on. If your either a Dragon Quest or a Musou fan than this game is definitely worth your time! I cant put it down honestly.

Enjoyable game, not quite as repetitive as other games by the developer. Controls can be set to be easier as well. Solid entry for Dynasty Warriors or Dragon Quest fans. I hope to see more like it.

The Dynasty Warriors style games often get repetitive, as they are a constant tug of war of just constantly killing waves of bad guys. Maybe I'm just more partial to the Dragon Quest characters and anime charm, but Dragon Quest Heroes has alot more RPG elements and although it is a hack-and-slash, the game is just too much fun!
