Customers are saying

Customers regard the gameplay as highly enjoyable and fun, praising its blend of action and familiar Dragon Quest elements. The story and art style also receive positive feedback, although some find the gameplay repetitive after a while. While the music and voice acting are appreciated, a few players found the game's difficulty to be too easy.

I've been a huge DQ fan for a while, and I love seeing a lot of the cast in this game. The story is pretty plain, but the game shines in its gameplay aspects.

Title pretty much sums it up. The story line does make it a bit more interesting then it really is.

I've never played any dragon quest games but after hearing it had a dynasty warrior type of combat I looked into it. After watching videos I decided to get it and I do not regret it one bit! Pick it up!

If you're a fan of the dynasty warriors type games and dragon quest this game is awesome. If you're not a fan of either of those, avoid.

I picked this up blind. I knew it was like the Dynasty Warriors games which I enjoy, so I really enjoyed this game. I feell you'll enjoy it more if you're familiar with Dragon Quest.

Standard fantasy genre game where hack and slash is the majority of the action. If that's your type of thing, you'll like the game, if not, might want to go elsewhere. The game is not too difficult to learn, skills are earned through attribution points and leveling up. The art is good, the story is pretty straightforward.

Reminds me of when I was young and first started playing these games. You're locked into replaying the same maps in order to level up, but it's a fun and cutesy game.

I am a big fan of the series, but this version let me down a bit. It starts off very well; the opening battle is very exciting and a good way to show what the game is about. However, the excitement wears off after two hours or so, as you start repeating the same thing after weaves and weaves of the same enemies. The novelty dies out because, unlike DQVII or VIII, you don't get to explore that much; you always get teleported to the areas and then the fighting starts right away; it feels a lot like Dynasty Warriors. If you are a big fan of that game style, then this is for you, but for those who like exploration then they are better off.
