So this game basically takes samurai warrior game based mechanics, you add dragon ball super saiyan power ups and what do you get? You get this game which is pretty awesome and it has the majority of you dragon quest characters that you grew up with. The only downfall is that it is too repetitive but the story is amazingly good enough to keep you playing.

i love my warrior games and dragon quest is great but its a little too slow compared to the other games and its a little limited on movesets

After reading mixed reviews regarding this game, I was hesitant on pulling the trigger but I am so glad I did! Its what a DQ game should be if it becomes real time combat! every DQ fan needs to get it!

The game meets my minimum expectations. I would prefer an old school RPG style Dragon Quest (aka Dragon Warrior in the west). Art style is the same as DBZ, seeing as Toriyoma does both. Can't wait to beat the thing, and plus a special event this weekend.

I was having a blast playing this game at first but after awhile the game starts to get boring. The mechanics of the missions vary between a small amount of options, so it feels like you are doing the same exact thing over and over. The story is awesome!!! The characters and the humor really brighten the game along with the cartoon visuals.

As a kid, I played the original Dragon Quest (then Warrior) for many hours—It was one of my first ever jRPG experiences. I knew ahead of time that Dragon Quest Heroes is not a traditional jRPG, but rather a "Musou"-style game, similar to "Dynasty Warriors" or Zelda-spinoff "Hyrule Warriors". I still found this game to be super enjoyable and worth my time! This past week, Japan celebrated the 30th Anniversary of the Dragon Quest franchise by releasing the sequel to this game, Dragon Quest Heroes II. Hopefully North America will receive the sequel as well!

Dragon Quest Heroes is fun for fans of the franchise and of Dynasty Warriors gameplay but like other games in this style (Hyrule Warriors, Samurai Warriors, etcetera) it gets fairly repetitive after a few hours. For those interested in completing everything however you have several days worth of content to work through in this game.

Great game for just killing some time. Good break from all the open world games with a million things to do. It's nice to follow a linear path and just plan without thinking so much.

Starts out slow and gets better. I have stopped playing 3/4 of the way through. I don't seem interested in finishing it.

Thought the story mode was lame and slow. Fun hack and slash but lacks sustinence

It's a really good game, just not great. It gets repetitive too quickly. If you've ever played a dynasty warriors game, you understand. The game is quite gorgeous though. And I love Dragon Quest games and their art style. Multiplayer would've been great, but probably would have slowed the game down.

The characters are interesting but the game gets flat about halfway through.

The game is not bad for being a Dynasty Warriors clone but I would have liked the Original RPG style to this.

This is not a traditional DQ game. It has some elements from dynasty warriors series. The game is fun.

If you like dynasty warrior you may like this game. enjoyed the different perspective...

Drag Quest fans and Musou fans alike have something to look forward to in this title.

DW w/ a twist to char combat, most chars feel uniq

Very similar to dynasty warriors games, but that's exactly what I was expected. With less time to game these days I wanted a game I could pick up and play for 20-30 minutes at a time and feel like I accomplished something. This game fulfills that need for me.
