Nothing ground breaking or innovative here, but it's really a love letter to the old school RPGs Gen X and Millenials grew up with. And for newer players, it's just a fun experience! Great soundtrack, character customization, and graphics.

THe 2 1/2D style really brings the world to life and the QOL improvements make the gameplay less grindy. Definitely recommend to classic RPG fans.

When I was a kid I rented the original from Blockbuster a bunch of times and this version is even more amazing than that. I hope to play the new versions of 1 and 2 next year as well and hope for the day that DQ4 is re-released for Switch as well!!
